Tim Tebow

How Holy Are His Hail Marys?

12/13/2011 12:02 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Tim Tebow's ridiculous success has everyone wondering ... is he guilty of using a P.E.D. -- performance enhancing deity?? Hey-oh! (The preceding attempt at humor was not ordained by the Father, Son or Holy Ghost)

Consider the arrogance that accompanies such assertions: that somehow a given athlete's faith is stronger and more blessed than the faith of his/her opponent. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. To say that God has ordained such a string of victories borders on blasphemy. Shame on any minister who links athletic success to divine intervention.

Enough with the faith. I don't go to your church during services and shout Go Broncos! here's a time and a place.
And how religious is a man who works on his Sabbath.

Give me a friggin break already with this guy..... He is not that good, does he even play a whole game?? He just gets lucky once in a while... Please people, enough already, plus if there is a god or jesus, I highly doubt he gives a dam about the Broncos or football....

I find the whole Tebow god story a little like young white vicars (or rabbis) street rapping to show that god's down with the kids too. It's a rubbish hook. "Hey kids" (these things inevitably start with hey) "Tebow's a great player because he has faith in the C-H-U-R-C-H homies". I don't know enough about American football to fully understand the figures but from the statistics it appears he had played exceptionally well in bad cir****tances but is pretty mediocre the rest of the time. I assume when the streak ends, and it will, it's called regression to the mean, it won't be god's fault just like all the other stuff that isn't god's fault, like childhood leukaemia, malaria and parasitic wasps.

Tim Tebow must have REALLY had one of those "come to Jesus" type experiences in church when he was growing up. He's not a bit shy about showing his religious beliefs in public.

Kind of like that scene in the movie "The Blues Brothers" where James Brown is saying to John Belushi "do you see the light".

Maybe Tim really is on "mission from God" like the Blues Brothers. He might be hard to stop. If he can beat the Patriots this week, he's going to blow a lot of people's minds. The Pope might even give him a call because he thought it was a true miracle.

The last time a white Bronco got this much publicity, it was going 12 MPH through Burbank.

The Denver Broncos are "praying" all the way to the bank and maybe the Super Bowl.

You honor Jesus down here on earth and Jesus will honor you.....and that does not necessarily mean in football but in the everyday.

I find it amusing that some people have a problem with Tibow showing his faith but have nothing to say about a bunch of players holding a prayer meeting in the middle of the field after the game. Could it be his skin color?

YOU KNOW, IF I WAS YOU >>>>> I WOULD NOT MAKE FUN OF THE FATHER , SON AND HOLY GHOST - THAT IS BLASPHEMY - GROW UP AND GET PERSECUTING GOD - WOW, PEOPLE ALWAYS MAKE FUN OF GOD, WHEN ALL GOD HAS DONE WAS CREATED , LOVED AND FORGIVE PEOPLE - HOWEVER, THERE IS A FINE LINE - AND YOU NEED TO STEP BACK OFF THAT LINE - STAY OFF THE MOCKERY OF GOD !!!

What if Tim Tebow were a Muslim? Do ya think you'd have all the mocking going on? Why is it ok to mock a Christian for their faith and not a Muslim? It's not. Period.

I doubt very seriously if God is making this player succeed as well as he's been doing.....he's probably just a a good player. What's wrong with people...no wonder the Kardashians are still on TV.

I'm a life-long Green Bay Packers fan. So, it will be very interesting to see if Denver meets up with Green Bay this season. If both teams keep winning, they should eventually meet this season.
