Clark Gable's Grandson

10 DAYS IN JAIL

for Lasering Police Chopper

1/12/2012 11:20 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Clark Gable III
Clark Gable's grandson Clark Gable III was just sentenced to 10 days in jail for flashing a laser pointer at an LAPD chopper.

23-year-old Clark pled guilty last month to one felony count of discharge of a laser at an occupied aircraft -- after pointing the thing at an LAPD helicopter, flying over some event in Hollywood last summer.

Cops in the aircraft were somehow able to pinpoint the laser coming from the small red car Gable was riding in. The car was quickly pulled over and Gable was arrested.

In addition to the jail time, Gable was also sentenced to 3 years probation.

At least he got SOME jail time. You can not live off your grandfather's name, douche. Clark Gable (the actor) would be ashamed of you!

Jail Time in California: 10 days means 2 days due to their lame excuse for overcrowding. Plus 10 days, "it is good to be King".....Lasering Chopper's Pilot's eyes could have cause him to crash in to an occupied dwelling....what's going on with Cal's State Attorney's office for agreeing with this joke of a plea! Someone else would have done this crime, and they would face more than 10 days in jail. California Justice is a JOKE!!

Clark Gable was one of the greats--this idiot is a huge embarrassment to the Gable name.

It must suck to be born in the shadow of someone's legacy.

Pointing a laser at a helicopter or airplane cabin can EASILY blind the pilot for many minutes at a time. I thought it was a federal offense to do so. How did they catch him? FLIR cameras (most police aircraft have these) make finding the origin of the laser light stupidly easy to track, especially if the culprit continues to laser the aircraft multiple times.
