Bobbi Kristina

Family Wants Rehab ASAP

2/18/2012 6:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The Houston family wants Bobbi Kristina to enter a live-in rehab facility ASAP.
Whitney Houston
's family wants Bobbi Kristina to enter a live-in rehab facility ASAP -- but sources tell TMZ, they're holding off on telling her until after Whitney's funeral today.

According to sources connected with the family, Bobbi has struggled with substance abuse issues for the last three or four years -- and the family wants her to seek out professional help at a 60-day live-in treatment facility before her problems get worse.

We're told the family is aware Whitney fell off the wagon in the weeks leading to her death -- and they don't want the same fate to befall her daughter.

But they're not putting pressure on her to enter rehab right away -- they want to give her time to grieve during and immediately after her mother's funeral today.

Attempts to reach Bobbi directly were unsuccessful. So far, it's unclear if Bobbi plans to heed her family's advice.

Hopefully Bobbi heeds her families advice - none of us are promised another day in life and this is doubly so for those who risk life abusing drugs and alcohol.

Ok... So, the family wants to wait until after the funerals to tell her about rehab and what do you morons do? Not only do you publish that here, but you also try to call her? For F***'s sake, the kid has not even buried her mom yet, leave her alone!!! Frankly, TMZ, you disgust me!!! Wayyyy too low, even for you!!!

who cares

60 days wont do **** and they cant force a 18 year old into rehab and rehab only works if the person involved wants to quit and is willing to make life changes for the next decade. It means she will have to stay away from most of the people she already knows and does drugs. This why hollywood style 60 day rehab doesn't work. Because they go back to being around the vary same people they did drugs with. It also mean no relationships for at minimum 1 year but 2 years is even better. It doesnt matter if that person does drugs or not. Because a addict can be in a relationship with a clean person but the normal stresses involved with dating and relationships will cause the person to go right back to the drug. And just as important it means NO PARTIES, so the chances of her ever being clean is slim to none and is exactly why her mom is dead now... Hollywood rehab doesnt work. It takes a hell of a lot longer then 60 days so this is nothing more then a make it look like we are doing the right thing...

God bless Bobbi! She grew up seeing her parents abusing drugs, it's not her fault. She needs divine intervention. Her dad is pretty much useless. I pray that God and Whitney guide her down the right path. I hope she doesn't do anything to hurt herself. Let's all pray for her!

Poor lil' BK never had a chance. She has the DNA of two addicts and grew up watching addict's behavior. She's young, she wants to experiment, immulate her parents, rebel - all normal for a teenager. Only in her case, it could be a life sentence in hell, all starting before she even becomes an adult. I truly hope she gets the help she needs and realizes it's up to *her* to save her own life. If Whitney's early death enables her to see that, that would be her mother's greatest gift to her.

This is a new low for TMZ. This girl's mother died less than a week ago and she's preparing for her mother's funeral, and now we find out she may be sick as well...and TMZ decides to report that the family is going to confront her after the funeral. You guys at TMZ are really sick. You are bad people.
