TMZ Music: Natives of the New Dawn

In the year which produced Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy," music has re-discovered the world's demand for true soul. Now comes Detroit-bred Natives of the New Dawn, who may have made their trek to town at exactly the right time.

natives album cover artThe NATIVES have navigated the three years of their existence as successfully as any band in an industry where lines are drawn in the sand between genres. A 2nd place finish at the 2005 Emergenza International Band Competition (over 9,000 bands competed) may legitimize the fact that these guys just might be the something needed to get people to open their minds by opening their ears.

Music was built on certain solid foundations- soul, rock, etc- and when you come across a band like the NATIVES, you are able to feel that foundation. If you like what you hear, wait until you see them live.

1. What is it about Lindsay Lohan that Paris Hilton and Brandon Davis, loathe so much. Honestly, Paris and Lohan (I neither like nor dislike, simply not interested) sound more like an ongoing soap opera....the battling divas.
I think at a mere 21 years of age, Lindsay has yet to do a lot of emotional maturing and as for Paris, coming from a famous family and being an emotionally young 25, she's more superficiality than substance even if she has cut a CD or whatever.
At their respective ages, Lindsay and Paris are coming out of older teenhood than being fully mature adults.
They're both amusing when I read about them on People magazine online.
