Michael Eisner is Blue -- Jet Blue

Composite of Michael Eisner and Jet Blue airplaneTimes are apparently tough for former Disney Chairman Michael Eisner. My spies tell me he took a plane to New York City Wednesday afternoon, but it's not a private jet. It's not first class on United or American. It's the very egalitarian Jet Blue.

Eisner and his wife showed up at Burbank Airport and bided their time in the terminal with iced coffees, which Eisner fetched himself. They boarded with all the common folk and settled in toward the middle of the plane. Eisner is currently (as of 3:00 PT Wednesday) in Seat 12F and is wearing a white ESPN hat. His wife rolled her own -- carry on suitcase, that is.

Eisner resigned from Disney last September. His net worth is estimated as more than half a billion dollars. Shave off $473 (round trip Burbank/New York) from that.

31. You little people are forgetting that a mogul like Michael Eisner is not like you. The pants he puts on everyday are tailored. Not manufactured in China such as most of you bourgeois types who fly commercial or shop at a department stores.

How wonderful Jet Blue really begs the issue.

Mr. Eisner had the power to make or break people like John Travolta and Frank Wells. Now he is flying with the proletariat! Something is wrong.

32. Elton Rule the once chairman of ABC, reportedly told a colleague when he saw him sitting with his wife in coach that, "the back of the plane arrives the same time as the front." Now I will no longer use a pseudonym when flying Jet Blue.

33. Oh Please...who cares if Eisner is taking Jet Blue now...

Fact of the matter is, he destroyed Disney and all of the "magic" surrounding it.

Jet Blue, by the way, does not have "first class" for any flights, even cross-country. Who cares why he chose Jet Blue...what I do care about is how my Disney stock went down the toilet while Mr. Eisner was "running" the company. He's a greedy, no talent man, and he took Walt Disney's vision and buried it. THAT IS THE WORST THING THAT HE DID, not take a commercial flight.

34. I think it is real sad that Disney forced but no other option but for Michael Eishner to resign. He was doing a wonderful job, he has helped in adding to Disneys amusement parks, more rides, better movies. I'm not sure of what the conflict was between Eishner and the Disney shareholders or head staff. But I think that Disney made a huge mistake, I maybe Eishner was fed up with them too and decided that there were better things out in this world for him. I hope he finds another job, maybe he'll retire, whose to know. But whatever it is, good luck Michael Eishner and best wishes. I was a big fan of yours and still I am a fan of Disney, for I grew up with their shows, movies and characters.

Thanks for the memories to both Michael Eishner and Disney.
