Celebrity Justice
Kato Comes Clean

Kato Kaelin said something pretty interesting on his way out of Hyde last night. Yes my friends, Kato actually got into Hyde and maybe that's the lead.

But on his way out, someone stopped the man who was in O.J. Simpson's guesthouse the night Simpson banged into the air conditioner and dropped his murder glove.

Kaelin was asked about Simpson's disgusting book, "If I Did It." His response -- "What do you mean 'if'?"

The criminal and civil trials were my life for two years. I covered it for the CBS affiliate in L.A. and it was the only topic in my life. Trust me, Kato knew a lot more than he told. Remember, he claims he was awakened by a thump that shook the walls of the guesthouse -- that was Simpson hitting the A.C. (no, not Cowlings, the air conditioner).

Remember; before the murders, Simpson and Kato drove to McDonald's together. There are a lot of stories about what they did and what they said during that McRun. At the very least, O.J. Simpson was in a rage after getting snubbed by Nicole, and he was always willing to rant even when people weren't in the mood to listen. Kato the houseguest was obligated to listen.

And one more thing -- there's no doubt in my mind that Kato heard a lot of commotion after Simpson left for the airport. Double murder is a messy business, and there was plenty to clean and discard that night. I don't think Kato was part of the cleaning crew, but I think he knew exactly who was.

So, when Kato nixed the word "if" last night, it's the most honest he's been about the murders in a dozen years. By the way, he's a really nice guy, but I can't believe he got into Hyde.

46. Oh, now the "nice guy" wants to come clean. Just go back to finding someone to leech off of you idiotic wannabe! Now you care about coming clean. You were just too dumb to do it at the time it should have been done, so just keep it to yourself instead of trying to get some attention!

47. Rasheem, bro get a clue and stop being a stupid ass. The black community got used just like you got used by OJ Simpson. The blood was dripping off his hands and the world knows it. Defending a man just because he's black shows you why the black community hasn't gone very far. Wake the hell up and join the real world not the fake world that says I'll believe it because he slaughtered two white people and got away with it and people are upset. Educated blacks know the truth.

48. He knows O J did it. He isn't telling everything he knows due to loyalty to his former employer.

49. As I recall, in recalling the trial, Kato did NOT lie in the trial. I specifically remember him trying to make eye contact with that woman D.A., imploring her to ask the right questions so he could tell more. But, as you know, during a trial, you don't volunteer information, you just answer the questions. The D.A.'s fell down on the job, they did not ask him what he knew. That stupid glove trick was the bomb, though! Putting all the dramatics on that stupid stunt, only to have had it shrink and not fit! I laughed out loud with that one.

50. Rasheem you are such a dumbsh*t. Now you're threatening Harvey? It appears you and the piece of human garbage O.J. have alot in common. He was found guilty in civil court, remember? We all know the only reason he got off is because the jurors were racist morons who couldn't even spell DNA, let alone understand it
Funny you choose to idolize a man who wanted nothing to do with his own race. Before he butchered 2 people he was the whitest black man on the planet. Is this the best you can do for a hero???
Sounds like O.J. is almost out of cash, pretty soon he'll be shining my shoes or washing my cars, just as he should be. ha ha

51. #43 Me Woma,

I can see why Kato thought it might be an earthquake. I'm not disputing that. My point was that Harvey Levin stated something along the lines that the case was his life for two years, but then he misquoted Kato. Kato never said he was asleep. He said he was on the phone.

52. Most blacks I know, successful, professional non-murdering people, know O.J. is guilty. Why any self-respecting black would defend him is beyond me. Rasheem I think you need to see a good shrink pronto.

53. I don't think Kato knows what happened, but I do think he knows SOMETHING happened.

54. A lot of ppl here assume that two "innocents" got killed. According to whom? Maybe Nicole and Ron did something, especially Nicole, to deserve what they got.

55. I know Blacks who KNOWS he probably did it but don't care. They laugh at the fact that a Black man "got off" in a system set up by whitey. In addition, OJ got off when "hundreds of thousands of Blacks didn't". So ... they don't care.

56. I still don't understand why Kato called his (girl friend) to say how scared he was, because someone banged his house and he was afraid, I still believe he had more to do with the murder then did O.J. Remember he did live with Nicole for a while. How did he know it was O.J. that banged into the AC? and why didn't he call the police if he was so scared?? Did he use the call to the girl friend for a allabi? to many unanswered questions.

57. In your world Tron what could a mother of 2 young children possibly do to be worthy of nearly being decapitated. Is that something you would wish on your mother/sister/wife? Not that I think you actually have a wife. You sound like a woman hater who probably utilizes a blow-up doll for companionship.

58. One thing: I see comments about how the black community got used for the OJ case. I'm a black man and I'm pretty sure it was OJ who gutted that strumpet and her boyfriend like a fish. Secondly, Robert Blake got off. Patsy Ramsey conveniently died and never had to face charges about killing Jon Benet (the grand jury, full of her country club white peers refused to return an indictment, with one clueless woman saying "rich white women don't kill their children" as part of her reasoning). See, everyone gets used and pimped into thinking in cliques and they can't see the big picture. ANYONE is capable of killing someone, some more easily influenced to do so than others. Anyone who says "I'd NEVER kill anyone" is full of crap. Anyone who think OJ didnt do it b/c of the racist LAPD (they're not only racist, theyre as corrupt as corrupt can be. look at their history) or that rich white women don't kill their children because they're rich and white is a moron. The black ppl seen cheering OJ is the minority -- no pun intended, ha ha -- opinion. Of course, the media brings cameras and gets ppl together and record this celebration of OJ beating the charges and it becomes "fact" that all or most black ppl feel that way. So when Blake got off, the Ramseys got off, when Roman Polanksi got off, did the ppl who were glad represent the majority opinion of white ppl? Thought not. Same goes here

59. Yeah Mimi the world is full of non-whites. It's just that we whites are more interesting than you.

60. Harvey Levin doesn't know as much about this case as he thinks he does. Kato did not testify he was "awakened" by the blow that shook the room and caused a picture to tilt sideways. Kato testified that he was on the phone with a woman and, feeling the vibration, asked her if there was an earthquake. (And who can believe a brick structure bumped by a person bumbling around outdoors would vibrate enough to lead a person to think there was an earthquake and to cause a picture on the wall to move?) Kato either knows a lot more than he is telling or is telling a lot more than he actually knows.

I personally believe O.J. is guilty, but I'd have voted "innocent" had I been on the jury because the prosecution did a lousy job of presenting the case and the defense was able to create reasonable doubt.
