Britney Spears: "Most Controversial"

Britney Spears is a winner, y'all ... but this is one award she probably won't want.

CNN Headline News' "Showbiz Tonight" named the recently tattooed pop tart "Most Controversial Celebrity of 2006," beating the likes of wayward Mel Gibson, couch-jumping Tom Cruise, sashaying Paris Hilton and ranting Michael Richards. A train wreck can't be stopped.

Citing her parental missteps, the infamous YouTube video where she questioned the validity of time travel and her many pantyless nights in Hollywood, Britney shut out other contenders for the title, pants down.

11. Britney Spears needs to go back to the trailer and stay there for a very long time. Do not come out, do not record an album, just hide for a very long time. For a long time I was hoping she would get her sh*t together, but now she just irritates me beyond belief. Go away Brit, do yourself a favor and disappear. Let people miss you...that wont happen when you are on the cover of evert glossy at the market checkout. Run along now.....
