Will Anna Nicole's Son Be Exhumed?

Daniel SmithThe biological father of Daniel Smith wants his son's body exhumed and moved from the Bahamas to Texas.

In a letter obtained by TMZ, Billy Smith -- through his lawyer, Kara S.P. Butler -- is asking The Chief Magistrate of the Bahamas, Roger Gomez, "permission to have the remains of Daniel Wayne Smith (deceased) exhumed from its current location here in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and to be transferred where his father and family reside in the State of Texas."

Anna met Billy Smith at Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken in Mexia, Texas, where they both worked as teenagers. They married in 1985, and Daniel was born the following year.

4. Why does he want this, now? Finally the dispute surrounding Anna's burial is nearly resolved. Why didn't he say something to Anna when she was still alive about where to bury their son? I just dont understand. Although, on second thought perhaps there is a motive for this- to run further tests on the cause of Daniel's death? Waiting to see....

6. I wonder if Virgie is behind this? How ridiculous of Daniel's father to want to exhume Daniel's body and rebury him in Texas...he hasn't seen this child since he was 2 years old.

7. I don't believe this but a friend of mine who know someone that works at a resort in Santa Barbara said they say Tara Reid and Stedman Graham together. Is there anything to this? I find it hard to believe....

A daddy should have more right to his son being buried where he wants him than a minor half sister's guardian and with that Virgie can get Anna's body.

11. I think Daniels father wants his 15 minutes of fame. He is just like Anna Nicoles mom.
And when was the last time you saw, spoke to or supported your son? He is certainly no father but just a mere sperm donor. Lets see who will pay him for his story. I say leave Daniel and his Mother to rest in peace. Enough is enough.

13. How is having his son's body brought back to the USA where his family can visit the grave money hungry?

The only reason he is buried in the Bahamas is because his mother was a selfish drug addict trying to keep her newborn child away from her father.

How do you know what went on in that family? Maybe ANS kept him away from his son just like she was trying to do with the new baby.

14. Wow, last ditch effort!

When all is said and done, the US is where both of them should be buried. If ANS were able to think straight and think of her daughter, instead of her own self absorbed needs, she would have agreed, had she known she would die so soon.

What a freaky trainwreck everything associated with ANS is....

15. Say this is a joke! Here we go again. All this stuff to get ANS buried in the Bahamas and now his father is going to move him. This guy said he wanted her to be buried with her son. This guy must not know that it was ruled she was going to the Bahamas. I think this guy drinks from the same bottle as Vergie.
