Britney Targeted in Child Abuse Investigation

TMZ has learned Britney Spears is being investigated for possible child abuse.

An unscheduled hearing was held today at L.A. County Superior Court. Present -- Britney's lawyer, Dennis Wasser, K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, and a lawyer from the Los Angeles County Counsel who is assigned to the dependency court.

We do not know the specifics of the allegations but we're told the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is conducting an active investigation.

A hearing in the custody case has been scheduled for Sept. 4, which will be a follow up to today's appearance.

A rep for Britney did not immediately return our request for comment.

5. Is anyone really surprised?! Even if she is not physically abusing her children in the sense that immediately comes to mind when you think of child abuse, there is such a thing as neglect, setting poor examples, and endangering the welfare of a child, which also fall under the child abuse umbrella.

Her children are simply pawns. Just like when she gets bored with a new toy, man, or animal, she replaces it/them with something else. I wouldn't be surprised if she just handed her children over to KFed--he is the lesser of two evils, and, quite frankly, much more stable, which is really scary.

KFed would be doing her a favor, she is clearly bogged down with the thought of having to occasionally look after her own children--like, 1-2 hours a month, when her, assistant, nanny/manny, is unable to.

15. Kevin thought Britney was a good enough mother when she was home watching the kids and footing the bills while he was living in the clubs, but suddenly his sugar mamma pulled the plug so she is unfit?

Kevin is a loser and a user. The boys need a real man in their life, not this panty waste sorry excuse piece of crap.
