Doing a half-marathon in the desert is taxing enough -- but just throw on an Elvis jumpsuit and try to run!
The annual Zappos.com Las Vegas Marathon is taking place this coming December, and to help bring a little more action to the race, event organizers are trying to coax runners into dressing as The King for the 13-mile jaunt -- blue suede kicks optional!
The goal is to get 101 running Elvi in this year's race, with the marathon's website advising interested participants to "Work on your best 'thank you very much' Elvis impersonation. You're gonna need it."

I live in Las Vegas and never thought I'd ever want to run a half-marathon, but they don't mind if you're a "Fat Elvis" and have to walk a bit ... so I might actually do it! Way to motivate.
