TMZ has learned the "Today" show has pulled the plug on the Rita Cosby interview about her book in which she claims Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead had a "relationship."
The cancellation comes after "Today" received a bristling, threatening letter from attorney Lin Wood, Howard's lawyer. Wood, who represented John and Patsy Ramsey, made it clear he would sue the "Today" show for any falsehoods that spewed out of Rita's mouth. Birkhead has also vowed to sue Cosby and others who he claims are in on a plot to "smear" him.
As far as we know, Cosby's assertion of a relationship is rooted in the testimony of Jackie Hatten, a known wacko whose brother served prison time for stalking Anna Nicole.
Make no mistake about it -- this cancellation is a big, frickin' deal.
7. Rita has the goods on Howard & Larry. She would not make claims without the proof. She has the video. I want the truth becasue for days and weeks I was consumed with the fantasy of ANS. Lets hear what happened as a learning experience. How was she neglected? Who was responsible?

11. If Rita has the goods and is interested in a search for "truth", why did she not contact the authorities? Essentially, she is claiming that these two guys conspired to commit murder and committed a fraud on the court for financial gain.
12. If Rita's facts were 100% verified, and without blemish Today would not have cancelled. They have a great legal team that can easily take on Stern / Birkhead. This unfortunatly does raise some questions. I would love to see this whole sordid story laid out, the truth most likely will be much stranger than any fiction.
