Britney Ignites Hotel Beatdown -- Cops Called

Moments after Britney Spears arrived at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills last night, a member of hotel security was knocked out -- allegedly by a trespassing paparazzo!


It was pure chaos outside the five star hotel last night, with panicked security chasing photogs off the property as Spears checked in.

TMZ shot video of a car leaving the scene at a high rate of speed, allegedly with the assault suspect inside.

When are we going to get some privacy laws that cover celeberities---battery?? assault?? Hello?? If you touch a woman's purse, it is technically a battery. How are paps getting away with this????

In the video of Brit arriving at the hotel, it sure looks to me like the hotel security guard is telling her to go inside, but she purposefully dawdles in order to let the paps start popping pics of her butt!! She's a total media whore! I can't take my eyes off this train wreck. OJ who?
