Rachel Sterling -- former Pussycat Doll and "Brunette" in "Wedding Crashers" -- got into a screaming match in front of Hyde -- which ended with her threatening to call the cops!

After someone tried to break into her Mini Cooper last night -- with her in it -- Sterling started yelling for help and pushing another man who was bothering her. While the main culprit got away, the other train wreck of a man started yelling at TMZ's camera, and any other camera who'd film him.

Sterling got the last laugh as she sped off, yelling out, "Enjoy your 15 seconds of fame ... if you want to walk my dog later, you can!"
