Malibu Castle Was About to Be Sold!

Malibu Castle, which perished in today's fire, was actually in Escrow and set to have the final walk-through on Wednesday.

The deal was expected to close this Friday, and while the final selling price can't be confirmed, it had an asking price of $17 million.

The home is owned by socialite Lilly Lawrence, who was not home at the time of the blaze.

On CNN, it was called Castle Kashan. That's also what it's called on the website: www.castlekashan.com.

What is your issue, old dog? The woman and her family used all they had for philanthropy, raising money for others, donating to charities, constantly. You spend your time making nasty remarks at the expense of someone who has experienced a tragedy, so who is the better person? (hint: the answer is NOT you!)
So someone rich deserves to have their home burn?
When dogs are too old, they should be euthanized.

How horrible to think that anyone would think that they would set there own home on fire for the purpose of money. Condsidering she does alot of good for others. And not only that, it was a historical landmark of So Cal. It is sad to loose a part of our history it was a Beautiful place. I hope she was able to recover her irreplacable belogings and treasures. May the family get thru this tradgedy. Our Prayers are with them all. Good Luck.

It was called the Malibu Castle by most in spite of the owner(s) adding their names.
Here is a link to see what it looked like a few days ago if anyone is interested, Really shows the magnitude of the fire
