Laker Lamar Odom Crashes, Injures Woman

Lamar OdomL.A. Lakers star Lamar Odom was involved in a two car crash in Hawthorne, Calif., yesterday morning which sent one person to the hospital.

Police sources tell TMZ they are investigating Odom for allegedly running a red light in his Mercedes and T-boning a Geo Prism driven by a 37-year-old woman. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extract the victim from the wreckage. The victim's family tells TMZ that she is in serious but stable condition with a head injury and injuries to her left leg.

Sources tell us neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the accident, adding Odom stayed with the victim and was very concerned about her well being.

Odom's rep was not immediately available for comment.

4. I say sue him. If he was drunk send him to jail. If he was drunk then suspend him forever from Basketball. These basketball players need to have a code of conduct they need to follow. Because most of these player come from homes without dads they have no idea how a real man behaves.

he stayed with the victim and did not run away and you have nerve to put that fact the he is black and rich into the mix,you must be a very unhappy person.concentrate on something positive and do not degrade people by the color of their skin.i am glad that mr.odom and the victim are okay and my prayers goes out to the lady and her family.godspeed
p.s. i live in america and it hurts the hell out of me that people are still very racist in this day and age,it is a shame.

7. Not a fan = idiot. First of all, the article clearly states that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident and that he was concerned. and 2nd of all, where in the article does it state anything about his character that would result in you thinking he's not a good father or man? Because he got into a car accident? Also, before you start posting items about being a good father, you should know he lost his infant baby last year to SIDs. So before you start hating, get your facts straight you inconsiderate @ss.

9. THIS STORY IS FAKE. LAMAR ODOM DOESNT EVEN HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE, HE HAS A CHAFFEUR. This story "broke" 2 days ago on Laker sites, but it was a made up story. Wow, TMZ, slow day huh?

10. Ok...wait just a minute here. I am not going to say that we should defend all athletes...but if you do a little research you will realize that Lamar Odom is ONE OF THE GOOD GUY!! One of the few left in professional sports, especially in the NBA. Google him and read about him before you go passing judgements...he has been through a lot and is a 100% stand-up guy!!

Working in professional sports, I can personally say that he is a GREAT person and cares about people. As you can see...there were no drugs, no alcohol, and I believe 100% he was by that ladies side and has probably already sent flowers!!
