TMZ caught the fur-lined Vegas showgirl in New York Friday night where she went overboard on a shopping spree that would make even Lindsay Lohan envious -- stopping at Barneys, Hermes, Chopard, Chanel and Bulgari -- all in one outing!
Dion picked up so much stuff -- she needed to rent a Penske truck to get everything to the airport.

Note the guy on the truck says, "49". One of the employees of the store said that Celine was buying parting gifts for the dancers (there are 50 of them) and people she had spent the last five years working with five days a week. Don't be so quick to judge. And perhaps some of you should check out her philanthropy record before assuming she hordes all of her money rather than sharing it. She gives back quite a bit. The bottom line is, it's her money, she can do with it as she pleases. Chances are, if it was you, you would be shopping too. So what? People tearing each other down over stupid stuff like this is what is tearing this country apart.

Good for Celine. She has earned it after working in Vegas for the past 5 years or so. I'd be doing the same thing if I were in her shoes. Way to go Celine!

As long as people are dumb enough to pay hundreds for tickets to see someone sing, she is going to make tons of dough. I'm glad she consumes- that means some of it goes BACK into the system.

The reason so many Canadians are buying like crazy in the States (New York is in the States) is the same reason French and British people are going crazy buying in the States - these days, their currency buys a lotta stuff for much less. It's amazing to them. It's like a huge sale is going on here and everyone's invited!

I can't stand this woman. She is so melodramatic when she sings, the way she throws her arms and "clutches" the empty air. Mondo cheesy. She has become little more than an SNL skit.
