She Never Said Goodbye

The 58-year-old survivor turned up to sign copies of her new holiday CD in NYC last week. Back from outer space!
Gloria Gaynor
Since her disco days, Gloria has become a born-again Christian and has reportedly made some controversial remarks about her large gay fan base. How lovely of her.

1. The born-agains who say being gay isn't natural because otherwise there would be no reproduction are missing the point.
Perhaps that is why God created some gay people, to balance out all the breeders.
The planet is overpopulated already. If every gay person was straight and reproducing, popping out the American average of 2.1 children, the planet's population would be even worse.
Get over yourselves!

2. Polar Patrol,
While I agree with you that homosexuality is natural and normal, I have to play devil's advocate and remind you that the fact that someone is gay does not mean they can't or don't reproduce. I know a lesbian couple and a gay couple who both wanted children so they used sperm from one of the men to impregnate one of the women. I lost track of them after the first so I don't know how many they had but many other lesbians have had children as well. I don't think that homosexuality is nature's way of reducing overpopulation. That would be natural disasters.

3. BetterBeSure,

I'm confused. This sounds like a post you made earlier and when I checked back and couldn't find the original post explaining that you were not "I couldn't care less" I'm wondering if this is an accidental, or intentional, repost. I thought we had gotten past most of this, agreeing to disagree on some things, agreeing that Gloria Gaynor was a good singee and looked very good for her age and wishing each other a happy new year.
Do you know what's going on? I recently had a similar experience with a post on another thread changing position.

6. 58??? Not to get race oriented, but there are a lot of 58 (and YOUNGER!) year old white chicks in Hollywood who would KILL to look this good.

8. Fantastic,
Another born again Christian that's forgotten her loyal fan base that stuck around after the mainstream audience stopped listening decades ago. (I can only assume, I wasn't born yet) It's wonderful to find religion, but why would you alienate any of your fans?
That's shameful.

10. Donatella Veersace is only 52 and she looks like she could have been this chick's first grade teacher or something.

Way to go Gloria!

11. Yes I agree she looks great, but here we go again with the Born Again and the anti gay remarks. Sounds like another Donna Summer syndrome. If it weren't for us, she would have never become mainstream.

15. sorry #5, but God is the power for eternal life. His Word is quite clear on sin. A true Christian is always going to put the creator above all others including fans and that is as it should be!.

I am not sure why her remarks are "controversial" since the Bible is God's Holy word. None of us would be here without Him.
