After a long battle with kidney cancer, Denise Richards' mom, Joni, died this week.
Reps for the "Wild Things" star confirmed the sad news to OK! magazine. According to the mag, Richards, along with her young daughters and father, held a two-week hospital bedside vigil during Joni's final days.
Denise has endured a tumultuous family life, having been involved in a contentious custody battle with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, ever since they divorced last year.

Denise and her girls are just beautiful, and seem like a lovely family. Hopefully, her girls will help her get through this. RIP Joni, and my condolences Denise & family.

She has not died, she has only moved on. Only her physical self is no longer here. Her footprints will remain in Denise's heart eternally.

ugh that is sad. my dad just died of cancer in june and i was only 21. it is so a horrible disease - i feel for her.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom many years ago, just a few days before Thanksgiving. It hurts, it hurts like hell.

...me #13.....yes, it is a horrible disease and a very painful time for families, sorry abt the passing of ur dad, my mom passed from it 4 yrs ago and the hurt is still fresh as ever...passing of a loved one is the worst experiece....no matter how!!!!!!
