George Lopez is a good comedian but then again its based on mexican and latinos so only that group really get his jokes because they have been through it and its funny because its true. its just like some white comedians might tell a joke that only white people will get and the other races won't.

Amy Winehouse is the exceptionally talented and is going through something terrible, and hopefully she will pull it together. Lopez has no empathy. Nice to laugh when people are down, right Lopez????

Hollywood doesn't know what to make of Latinos....so you get a George Lopez who gets a show that focuses on immigrant or first generation barrio experiences and no one gets the joke.
A Latin American just can't be American because then people think they are "faking it" when they are just being who they are. I think sex pot Jessica Alba, Raquel Welch, Mario Lopez, Linda Carter, Anthony Quinn, Lorenzo Llamas....etc....just did roles without being so heavy on being 'foreign' and continuing that as a show theme....but as I drove by Sony Studios last week and took a good look at all the striking writers, I began to understand why portrayals of Latinos are so one dimensional....everyone on strike is white with a very few blacks or minorities. No wonder so many shows about Latinos are f**kng flops.

BTW I LOVE AMY WINEHOUSE. She will win a grammy or two, I just hope the girl takes better care of herself. She has so much talent and I would hate to see her die early.
