Dr. Phil has issued the following statement to ET about his visit with Britney Spears this morning.
"My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention.
She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her."

this guy is the fugliest media whore in the business. he don't care about her, just him getting some of her lime light. dr pill can go eff himself but he's so self-centered he probably doesn't think anyone can do it better than him.
Now let's see if he offers her some real PRIVATE help, or uses her illness to bolster his own career...just like everyone else has.
...kelli....hate to say it ...but he is already exploiting her!!!...
The paps and Fed-EX brought her to this sorry mess. I wish nothing but the best for her and hers.
Great, now she can get on Dr. Phil and tell the world why she is such a victim in life. Too bad that with all her fame and fortune, she could find time to grow and take responsibility for her actions.
She needs to help HERSELF..especially if she is bipolar ..properly medicated and confronting her problems is the ONLY way she can survive all this..her career should be the LAST thing on her mind ..her health and family and safety should be first and damage control and music should be LAST ... I hope she gets better..truly
