According to the New York Postâs Liz Smith, while accepting an award from the National Board of Review, Clooney wisecracked, âCharlton Heston announced again today that he is suffering from Alzheimer's.â
When asked about the statement, Clooney told Smith, âI don't care. Charlton Heston is the head of the National Rifle Association. He deserves whatever anyone says about him.â
Heston wasnât about to let the indignity go unchallenged. According to the World Entertainment News Network, Heston walloped Clooney by contrasting the actorâs demeanor with that of his late aunt, the singing legend Rosemary Clooney.
âIt just goes to show that sometimes class does skip a generation,â Heston shot back.
Itâs ironic that Clooney, who liberally spouts compassion, tolerance and sensitivity, would use a manâs illness as material for a joke.
What is next poking fun of AIDS dementia when he does not like their politics?

He played baseball as a child and basketball. Not everyone is in to football. Also he was married sometime ago and vowed to never do it again. Sheesh
