TMZ has learned Heath Ledger was sick with pneumonia when he died today in NY.

32. How terribly sad. I would feel better (I know that sounds stupid) if it was from natural causes and not suicide. A 28 year old with a 2 year old daughter has so much to live for. My thoughts go out to his family members and also to Jake G. (can't spell Jakes last name) as he must be devastated also.

38. I LOVED HIM!! OMG!!! I am so sad for him & his loved ones~especially his little girl!! He had such talent & such potential as a young actor~so very rare these days!! I am sooo sad over his loss! RIP Heath =(

39. Being a little red around the neck at least for appearances sake I never talked much with friends about his performance in Brokeback Mtn. But it truly was a brilliant performance. He was robbed of the Oscar IMO. A great talent who no doubt would have provided us all with many more if not for this unfortunate tragedy. A great talent was lost today.
