Ringo: P.S. I Don't Care

One of the two surviving Beatles, Ringo Starr, was in a pissy mood last night -- refusing to stop for photos or sign a single autograph in New York.

Though autograph seekers tried to get a rise out of the former moptop by shouting, "Sign for the dead people, sign for Martin Luther King," the Beatle stonewalled them all -- shouting and pushing his way through the crowd.

1. It is very understandable for him to want to bolt and to be nervous about signing in a crowd that hasnt been through a metal detector...anyone remember John Lennon signing a autograph and then was shot dead ?

2. Ringo, get over yourself - your luck that anyone even wants your autograph. Now be a nice chappie and humor the public that has given you a nice comfortable life all these years. Not nearly as difficult as workin down the mines is it?

3. I stand by Ringo's decision...hello, those albums would be on Ebay if he'd had signed them. Good call Ringo...P.S. I love you!

4. #1 got it right on. Love ya Ringo!

The fan (not) who wanted his autograph was stalking him; going from place to place and shouting at him. Looks like a staged set up to me. TMZ, you involved in it?

5. Oh, and one more thing...
The 'public' that "has given you a nice comfortable life all these years" (as stated in post #2) will support Ringo all the days of his life. Baby Boomers and Beatles are one.

6. Sign for the dead people, sign for Martin Luther King,"

Please to explain how that statement would motivate anyone to sign an autograph. Stars don't have to give out autographs all day every day. And when your money is already made and neary a person under 50 contributed to you making it you are even less obligated.

10. I don't blame Ringo one bit! Those guys were too aggresive and they aren't fans. They're the ones that stalk celebs and then sell the autograph.

11. I don't blame him one bit. I cannot even begin to fathom what it must be like to never have a moment to yourself when you leave the house. He has the right to say "No". Unlike some of the younger so called pop stars, he has gone on with his life in a dignified manner. Let the man alone.

12. Maybe Ringo just wanted to be left alone, he has that right, If Ringo dosen't want to sign, he dosen't have too.
God only knows how many times he has signed his name in the last 40+ years. GO RINGO!!!!

15. For the record (no pun intended), not everyone who collects an autograph sells it. That's just commen sense.
Also, many, many people who are under 50 listen and buy his music.
I am a huge Ringo fan and I feel bad for those he can not say "Hello" to. But this is the reality, so we've got to go with it.
On the other hand, sometimes he does stop to say "Hello". All in a day's work.
