151. This is the more appropriate thread for the ANS saga. Perhaps an involuntary schism is now in place, although it was tried before to no avail.

152. Seeing as how the one year anniversary of Anna Nicole Smith's death was on February 8th, I thought it would be appropriate to celebrate with a little tribute in honoring her by remembering her in a positive way. Fortunately, I was able to meet her and see just how generous she truly was. Sure, we all know just how crazy this cat was. It's no joke that she was "off her rocker" so-to-speak, but she was truly a unique person, and let's face it, she was certainly world-reknowned for her celebrity status. The former Playboy used her celebrity status for great contributions in society, though...and those are the things you don't hear about in the tabloids or the news. Unfortunately, all you hear about is the negative publicity.

So, I thought I'd tell you a little about the Anna Nicole I got to meet a few years ago when she came to Omaha, Nebraska (my hometown) to raise money for Kamp Kindle, a camp for children afflicted by HIV/AIDS. Anna had been involved in a skiing accident just a few days prior and had broken two ribs, so she was an an intense amount of pain, but she refused to cancel the fundraiser opportunity. She still showed up to help support the children of Kamp Kindle. I'm speculating that she was on pain medication, and it's obvious that she was drinking that night. Her behavior was the same ole kooky Anna we've come to love that we saw on her TV show, but she could hardly move due to her broken ribs, and she tried desperately not to laugh.

However, the woman looked flawless! She used her celebrity influence to draw a GIGANTIC crowd that kept coming through the doors that entire evening in order to raise money for the children of Kamp Kindle. I was amazed by her generosity, dedication, and amazing spirit.

Please remember her, her deceased son Daniel, and her precious daughter Dani Lynn in your prayers!
