Brit's soon-to-be-gone lawyer Anne Kiley just asked Commish Scott Gordon to gag the lawyers and others connected with the custody battle from speaking to the media about the case.
K-Daddy's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, objected to the gag request, stating that it was a violation of free speech. Kaplan said Kiley has accused him of leaking like a sieve. Kaplan also cited a conversation he had with Kiley that ended up on TMZ while the conversation was still taking place -- i.e., he's not leaking if he's still talking.
In the end, the Commish denied the gag motion. The hearing is now behind closed doors.

There should be a gag order, I think that K-Fed's lawyer pays TMZ to put all of this bad info about Brit on their website. All of the hearings should be kept personal and not given a press conference everytime they get out of court. Come on, something is wrong with Kaplan, as soon as they get out of court he holds a press confernece about what..the personal aspects of this case. There should be a gag order to protect the privacy of the clients. Celebrity or not.

Good. This is a private matter, and would go so much more smoothly if there was a gag order in place. They should have done that AGES ago.

Iâm glad to hear that the gag order has been denied. I always thought that Anne Kiley of Trope & Trope only wants it to protect her and firmâs reputation, instead of anything having to do with Britney, Kevin and the kids.

All the lawyers involved in this case make our skin crawl. They all seem extra slimy, even for lawyers. And, Kaplan could've concurrently leaked a conversation while it was taking place . Duh, this isn't the stone age where the words had to be carved on a wall. Someone theoretically could've been listening in, he theoretically could've been e-mailing notes, etc etc etc
