What Made the Hoff Cry on Idol

David Hasselhoff got a lot of crap for crying on "American Idol" two seasons ago -- but yesterday he told TMZ why it happened, and it's not as cheesy as it looked.

I'm just as likely as the next guy to say that the Hoff is cheesy as all Hell, but I have to give him credit: that was honest, heart-felt, sincere and somewhat gracious. Scores some big points for me.
