#81...what an ignorant statement to make. A lot of us "metal heads" struggled to fit in as young kids and as we got older realized that people like you really f'n sucked and wondered why the hell were we trying to "fit in" with what society considered normal? Metal requires talent and there is a great deal of love for what these musicians do which is greatly appreciated by fans.
It takes more balls than you'll ever have to step outside of the norm and adopt a "darker" look. The looks I get on a daily basis amuse me. I love it when the guys in their pink metro shirts stare at me while their velour suited, uggs with dangle balls wearin girlfriends are hatin on me. I'm 8 months pregnant and the men still stare. It' s f'n great cuz the men secretly wish they had me and the girls wish they could be me.
As for men that hate metal...you wish you looked like them cuz you know they are scoring the hotties from all genres. We've all got a dark side and for those of us that aren't afraid to embrace it, life is rather amusing.....

Another adult child of narcissistic parents in self-destruct mode. The parents (unwittingly?) send their children messages to self-destruct; so guess what? They do! The children of narcissists need support to stop harming themselves (for their parents) and create a life of their own choosing, a life they really want to live. These kids are afraid of success (Mommy or Daddy might be insanely, dangerously JEALOUS). These kids are afraid of failure (Mommy or Daddy might be angry, disappointed, shaming, blaming, devaluing), especially when they already feel unwanted, unlovable, worth less than worthless, because of the way they were treated in childhood. Where are the "Adult Children of Narcissist" support groups? We truly need them!
