39. 20. KFED doesn't care about the face time with the kids but he will fight and create more scences as it goes to joint cutody then his gravy train will be over. He only wants the kids to get child support. It was great to finally see Spears parents on her side and supporting her.

I doubt K-Fed has given it a second thought. This won't affect the amount of child support that Kevin receives. In California, child support is based on a formula that compares mom's monthly income to dad's, and factors in the amount of time that the kids spend with each parent (ie., 50/50, 60/40, 80/20). There is such a disparity between Brit's and Kevin's income and earning capacity that changing the amount of time the kids spend with Brit does not affect the final calculation. Even if Brit were to get the kids 80% of the week, K-Fed would still get between $15,000 and $20,000. Check it out, manipulate the numbers and various custody/visitation secenarios. We know that Brit's monthly income is somewhere up to about $730,000. K-Fed's gross income in 2007 was $550,000. That works out to about $42,000 per month. Try inputting different custody/visitation arrangements---50/50, 80/20, etc. You'll see that Brit will always pay child support to Kevin, no matter the custody arrangement.

41. Lawdawg, I love your reasoned, well informed posts, but lately I've been feeling deflated, because it's looking more and more like you're casting your pearls before swine.

42. I've been thinking about one of your statements, lawdawg: "You'll see that Brit will always pay child support to Kevin, no matter the custody arrangement. " That's the case only if Britney's income remains so high in comparison to Kevin's.

If I'm not mistaken, she was told a couple months ago that unless she can turn things around, she will be essentially broke within about four years. If that happens, the child-support equations will yield quite different results.

I guess the upshot is that the only way that Britney will pay less child support than Kevin is if she loses most of her money. That's not a happy state of affairs. Therefore, those who care about Britney should be glad that she has enough means to pay that amount of support to K-Fed.
