Absolutely Katie did the right thing. She works as anchor for CBS evening news; she doesn't cover celebrity gossip. It' not the Today show. She would have made herself look weak and stupid if she gave any time or attention to something so inane. It doesn't compare to the journalistic savvy and gumption she showed during an impromptu interview with the first Pres Bush. THAT is what Katie does.

Sheeeesh guys, she was done for the day......clocked out.....on her way home sucking on candy! Is that really sooooo bad?!? She has a nice sit down job, where all the running work is done for her by other people! She admitted, herself, that she is out of shape, as far a impromtu interviews go - that why she does........whatever it is that she does.
