The Dark Knight Was Once the White Knight

In 1988, a 14-year-old Christian Bale attended the London premiere of "Empire of the Sun" with his mum Jenny and two sisters.

The past twenty years hasn't changed Bale's boyish grin, but his relationship with his mum and sis is starting to show its age.

Please TMZ, enough already! We know he got arrested for some form of assault in England. Why then do you have to run so many different variations on the same thing. Give it a rest! Give us periodic updates like you do with everyone else and let's go on to something else. FFS!!!

Well, we see who was enjoying the limelight in those photos. And we see who's trying to get back in it now. Christian is about NOT being in the limelight and being low-key. Not their thing apparently.

TMZ - do your homework. This is in all likelihood not a huge deal. Did you know that a person can be charged in England for "verbal" assault? That's right! If someone feels he/she has been verbally abused, charges can be levied. It's entirely probable that mommy and big sis didn't like they way they were spoken to - what else can a family do except lay assault charges when wealthy, high-profile son speaks to them inappropriately.

Most of these show biz moms never get a job of their own but want to continue to live off the fame and fortune of their kids. They will probably try to sue next since he is the star of a major money maker. Don't buy this story for a minute and if anything at all happened, it was probably just him yelling for them to get out of his life.
