There is not a chance in hell that they can afford anything on Carbon Beach. These clowns have made at most a couple million from the Hills. The real stars get paid around 50k to show up to clubs. These two are like customer repellent and might get to take home free cases of Red Bull.

Spencer's family probably does not have real dough. They are probably one of the Malibu families that has owned a 3rd tier beach house for 20 years and have little else in the way of brains or assets.

Perhaps Spencer would feel more comfortable with a condo in Marina del Rey or a home in the valley. In a few years, these two will be shopping for homes on a foreclosure tour bus after their show hits the skids and they realize that they are morons with no real work experience. Only then they will venture into "production", which will entail them meeting up with Hollywood wannabes at Peet's Coffee to discuss their "great ideas" for "reality tv show pilots".

The only way they step foot in this house again is if they are part of the catering staff at a wedding ther ein a few years.

65. They probably gave the realtor $50 to say that. As if someone who was actually planning to sell someone a multi-million dollar house would spoil it by talking to the press! Puhleaze! They cannot afford a $12 million house. TMZ, you seriously need to hire more intelligent people for your staff. The lowest level employee at the Weekly World News wouldn't even buy that one.

67. okay so they throw all their pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters together to pay for a $12 million house. Then what? Once their endorsement money runs out they will be forced to sell their house, if they can even get into it.

I must agree with many of you. Since their 15 minutes of shame is almost up and they don't have any REAL hollywood work i.e. movies, tv shows, then the money runs out too. That means no more money for mortgage, taxes (lets not even begin to think about how much taxes must be paid on a $12 million dollar home, annually.

This stunt is ridiculous!!!!!!

Everyone is just jealous because Hedi and Spencer are doing it, just like Dina Lohan is doing it up in her Centex Home. obviously these two lovers are much bigger stars then crazy Britney Spears who really needs to just move back in with her mom and sister and all the babies in Serinity, but why would Hedi and Spencer Montag want to spend their hard earned money when they could just live with Hedi's BFF/ WORLD SAVIOR CRISIS ADVERTER Paris, since Paris is never at home, she is always hoing it up in the clubs everyday. Anyone spending $50k a month in rent for a house needs to come back to real life.....THE HILLS!! if your spending more than $1000 a month in rent obviously you messed up somewhere...

71. GIVE ME A BREAK!! According to sites like IMDB and Variety and all of those, they each pulled about $500K PER SEASON for their little "faux reality" gigs. So if they both pooled their money, and lived under a bridge NOT EATING for 3 years, they still would be about NINE MILLION DOLLARS SHORT. And I hate to break it to all of the sensationalists out there, but they are NOT paid "$100K" to show up at clubs. Give me a BREAK.

74. 3 months after buying the house it goes into foreclosures. Even if they had 3 million to put down the mortgage would be close to 100K a month for 30 years and add another 20K a month in property taxes. Getting drunk in clubs dont pay that much
