Jail to Nick Hogan: You're a Big Boy Now

7/27/2008 6:12 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

This is one time when happy and birthday don't go together.

Nick Bollea celebrated his 18th birthday today by being transferred into Pinellas County Jail's Central Division -- where he will reside in the direct supervision housing section which hold around 70 adults and one correctional officer. Hulk told us Nick was a "janitor."

We're told Hulk Hogan, Linda Hogan, Bubba the Love Sponge and bunch of Nick's friends sang "happy birthday" to him over a video monitor. After that, they were allowed to visit him two at a time. His sister Brooke was not there.

To #9 Mike, you have it all wrong. Not everyone street races. Not everyone drinks and drives. Not everyone has a set of parents who let them run wild. I have yet to see where anybody has said that Nick Bollea purposely ran into a tree to maim his friend for life. You want to dump the blame on John? Fine. He has received a punishment called the "living death". Isn't that enough for you? Not only has he been sentenced, each and every member of his family has been sentenced to seeing their loved one never improving. Now as for Nick, regardless who he got the booze from, he is still by law not supposed to drink. He has been ticketed several times for major excessive speeding, and on occasions his Daddy Dearest has been riding shotgun. Nick Bollea has made the choice to drive wrecklessly. And I am sorry but street racing is driving wrecklessly in my book pal. He chose to endanger himself right along with anyone else who might be on the same road as him. His parents are the poster parents for being stupid parents. The first ticket should have been the end of his driving. I agree that John was stupid to hang around a jerk like Nick but what's done is done. His life will never be the same, nor will his loved ones lives ever be the same. Sorry Mike but it was Nick behind the wheel....and whether John screamed at him to go faster, it doesn't matter. Nick was given the privilege of driving...not the right, it is a privilege. And when you get behind the wheel you are responsible. Nick has played the fool for a long time now. He played the fool on their "real-ality" show and from what folks in Florida say, he plays the fool in his normal life, whatever that may be. Sorry Mike, but he did the crime so he now does the time. That is real life.

One other thing, if you see the video on youtube of the devastating injury to John's head and brain, the fact that Nick claimed 'John's body is fine, he just bumped his head' will win the grand prize for understatement of the year.

I had not seen the video before yesterday, and as horrible as I imagined John's injuries to be, it was dwarfed by the reality. Nick and his family should have immediately stepped up and said 'this horrible thing happened because of drunk driving' and then gone on to educate the public about those dangers. That would have gone a long way to forgiving Nick. To sweep this under the rug, and act like it was a non-event, just makes the Hogan's look like heartless losers. No wonder the Graziano family is livid. At least they have class, and don't air their dirty laundry in public. I commend them for their restraint, because if my child was put in the same condition as John, and the person who put him there, made light of it, I would go into a tirade the likes of which you've never seen before.

I think the Hogan pay people to troll the gossip site and write all that BS about John Graziano being partly responsible because NO ONE in their right mind would really think that. And I also think that Nick and Brooke should be forced to work at a hospice for brain damaged people every day for at least a year, maybe, and that's a big maybe, that will teach them some humility

If John had only worn a seatbelt he would not be in this situation now. As much as you people want to hold Nick responsible the real fault was John's lack of judgement. If he knew Nick was going to race he shouldn't have gotten in the car with a 17 year old. Why didn't he have to good sense to put a seatbelt on? Sorry to say but he is the one at fault for demonstrating poor judgement, Nick was only being the idiot he is.

6. I say it is time to leave this kid alone and let him live with the consequences of his actions. Had he not been in the public eye, things might have been different for this family. Bless John and everyone involved in this messed up situation, but they were just kids...

Quite frankly I don't think little Nicky got ENOUGH time. And do you honestly think when he gets out he is going to spend any time thinking about poor John? Hell no! He is an immature punk whose smirk I would dearly love to wipe off his face. His life will go on.

As for the cake? It just gets better and better, doesn't it??? "New Life"! I'd be willing to bet that John Graziano's family would give ANYTHING for him to have a "new life" - or any life at all. Haven't you seen the video of John's day to day "life"? What kind of life is that? Nick murdered that young man - the only difference between an actual murder and John's condition is that, unfortunately for him, he's still breathing. He would have been better off dying than living his life out in a vegetative state.

Anyone who feels sorry for Nick Hogan is an idiot, including you Kelli.

While you make a valid point about John putting his seatbelt on or not, the law states it is THE DRIVER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE ALL PASSENGERS ARE SEATBELTED. They were both drinking so BOTH of them had impaired judgment. The responsibility lies with NICK. Nuff said.

I hope none of the anal rape jokers are Christians, because not even Jesus will forgive all the rape jokes. It's disgusting, and a sign of mental illness. Hell awaits you all.
