Gordon Ramsay should have stuck to his guns -- aka Ginsu knives -- because he went down hard with a leg injury while playing in a charity soccer match in England today.
We're told he pulled his hamstring and now has to watch from the sidelines.

17. That Sucks, Antonio Banderas also played soccer when he was younger and only turned to acting when he received a career ending injury. Another instance where the world is a better place Because a man couldn't follow his first dream.
Still, have to be sorry that Ramsay got hurt. Even though I don't watch the show, I know who he is and have heard that he's actually a very nice guy unless someone is messing up in a kitchen.
