18. His huge ego finally got the best of him. He was so concerned, making sure people knew he was the one that broke off his relationship with Aniston, that it has backfired in his face. So here is my Dear John letter-

Dear John:

Your blog message (the one where you're asking a female to stop texting you), was egotistical but to blab to the media about Aniston,was over the line. Truth of the matter is, if you were not well known, I nor any other female who had taste, would look back if you passed us by. You're going to be 31 years old, time to grow the hell up. I can't even listen to your music because your soul has rhinestones instead of emotion. After tipping ofs so many paps, now you don't want to play anymore? Is there a song you sing that doesn't sound like the previous ballad? Now you've resorted to doing covers? No material? Time to step back and remember where you came from. That is, if you can even stay out of the lime light long enough.

PS. The money I spent to see you in Milwaukee was the biggest waste of money.

27. I didn't know who this guy was until he stated dating Jennifer. Then I listened to his music. I watched his antics (through tmz). I thought he was nice looking, funny and liked the music. Now that I'm seeing the real JM, he makes me want to puke. Good move, Jen - moving on that is. What took so long to see through this guy? Any other female that now gives him a second glance is a moron.

28. Wow, all of these comments sure do make a LOT out of such a simple video.

Put yourselves in his shoes for one second. If you were receiving the amount of attention he has, you'd eat up every second too. Any reasonably intelligent human being (i.e., not most of you), after seeing this man speak, knows he is an extremely bright guy. He, like the rest of us, is learning as he goes. There is nothing wrong with that. We all learn about life as it goes on. We make mistakes, make corrections, and move forward. John may be realizing his life would be overall "better" if he stayed out of the "celebrity" light (which I consider fruitless and stupid), and instead focus on his love - his music.

Have any of you critics actually seen this man play guitar? Whether he is a "douchebag" or not (which I think 99.9% of people determine superficially without any real inspection into the man), he is absolutely endowed with amazing talent. I challenge any of you to go pick up a guitar and try to play as he does. It won't happen.

Another thing that won't happen for any of you is pulling the caliber of woman he does. Do you think women care about John because of what he looks like? They're attracted to his talent, his sense of humor, etc.. Non-superficial values.

There are maybe a handful of people on this earth that can play a guitar the way John Mayer does, and captivate peoples' musical attention the way his music has. I think all of his fans would agree he doesn't have the best voice on planet earth, it might even be considered mediocre, but it _doesn't matter_. His music ... the timeless goodness of his tunes, no matter who sings them, is what intrigues us. The melodies come from his head, even if his singing voice isn't perfect, and that's why his music and his talent are so well respected.

I have a gut feeling John is realizing it's time to get back to the music now. It's what he was put on this earth to do. I have every confidence if he refocuses himself creatively and musically, we will all continue to be amazed by what his mind comes up with. I for one, can't wait.

I don't personally care who he dates, or why they break up. I care about the music.

It's all about the music now. John, make it happen.

30. He is such a wanker!! I hate his boring music, all sounds the same and the only reason people go and see him in concert is because of the chick he is seeing. He is a nobody, hence he wants a famous girlfriend to get him publicity. I dont even think he is remotely good looking!!!
