Jane Takes DUI Punishment Like a Man

9/18/2008 9:26 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Thomas Jane -- he was "The Punisher," case you were wondering -- just got his legal knuckles rapped for a DUI earlier this year.

Jane pleaded no contest to DUI yesterday in Kern County, Calif. and was sentenced to a year of probation, $1,700 in fines and alcohol abuse classes. Prosecutors agreed to drop two other alcohol and drug charges.

Also, they dumped the two speeding tickets Jane got on the same night before he got popped for the DUI. Jane is married to Patricia Arquette, BTW.

You've got to see the first movie I ever saw this guy in. Check out "THURSDAY". Aaron Eckhart was in it too. Good cast excellent flick.

??

Thats the typical fines and punishment for a first offense, although I can't figure out why they dropped the other charges unless they were 1 - embarrassed they didn't catch him for the correct charge to begin with or 2 - it was an agreement that he plead no contest and the rest would just go away. I don't think it was celebrity shmoozing.

whatever

This was also the guy who played Neal Cassidy in the movie "the last time i committed suicide." Such a good movie, which included Keanu Reeves in the best role he has ever played, a sleezy drunk.
