All you people who are freaking out because Obama is likely to win can blame George W. Bush for completely destroying the credibility of the Republican Party and for handing the election to the Democrats.
You can bitch and whine about Obama, but if it wasn't for GWB, the GOP would be flying high in 2008, and you know it.
Well, to be precise, Bush isn't *completely* to blame. Sarah Palin has cost the Republicans the votes of millions of swing voters. She has galvanized the Republican "base", but she's driven away a lot more people than she has attracted.
It's easy to blame Obama and the Democrats for your misfortunes, but actually, the Republican party has done a superlative job of shooting itself in the foot this election -- multiple times. You have no one other than yourselves to blame for losing in 2008.

Hey voters Remember Obama just said that we should not make a virtue out of being greedy. I am a single mom working and not making too much and also working a second job on Sundays and I do not want my hard earned money going to people who do not work.There are too many give me people out there. People need to get educated work and not over spend which alot of people are doing. I see it everyday in my work. Also I love this country and Obama feels that we need to apologize to the world. No we do not the USA helps alot of countries and although sometimes things do not turn out like we planned this is the greatest country in the world and Obama wants to change the USA to the United States of the World This is AMERICA and I would like to keep it that way. People wake up and see Obama for what he is He has a very radical view Just look at his past What comes out of his mouth and what he has done and supported do not jive.

56# you are right. I'm a democrat, and I don't trust Obama, one his college records and records in general are sealed. He burns flags, his wife is a racist, his 'Aunt' is an illegal. Is this what people want for president? Obama is a socialist, socialism will not work in the U.S. As I said, I don't trust this guy, I get a feeling that all will go to hell with him in office.

Sarah Palin isn't generally being mocked for her blue-collar background. She's being mocked because she's an ignorant big-mouth. In other words, she persists in shooting off her mouth in ways that show the world how unknowledgeable she is.
By the way, quite a few conservative Republicans consider her to be an extremely poor choice for Vice President. So don't try to pin this solely on the Democrats.
It's also the case that she has driven more voters away from McCain than she has attracted.
