Gossip & Rumors
Oprah Can't Drop the Deuce

It's possibly a lil' TMI, but Oprah Winfrey says she's back to 200 lbs. and she's "mad" at herself for letting it all go to ... her waistline.

"I'm embarrassed," says O, in the new issue of her mag. "I can't believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I'm still talking about my weight ... 'How did I let this happen again?'" Apparently since slimming down to 160 in '06, she's put on 40 big ones.

And even a child can figure out what that adds up to.

48. The reason Oprah's weight is a big deal (in more ways than one) and talked about is because of her. She promotes it. She's the first to talk about it. It helps to sell her show and her magazine. Nothing more and nothing less. If Oprah doesn't want people to talk about it then she should have a big plate of STFU about it. In fact, she should have seconds and thirds of STFU.

49. I think Oprah and Kirstie Alley are using the same scale. You know, the one that 'underestimates' your weight.

52. Jean...I see an endocrinologist regularly because of my thyroid problem and I have been told from day 1 that Hypo thyroid can account for up to 30lbs. In fact, he told me that you often hear obese people say the reason they have a weight problem is because of thyroid and you can call b.s. on it because it only accounts for 30lbs. So...10lbs is wrong...check it out by searching the internet if you don't believe me or my doctor.

53. She needs to stop all this weight foolishness. She's an adult, knows what she's doing, and it's just plain tiresome to hear about her complaining about weight when people have no food. Pure trash.

54. What so many do not get is that overeating for whatever reason is an addiction. However, society has never been able to accept this. Society has accepted alcohol, drugs and smoking as addictions but not food. We do not have to have drugs or cigarettes to exist, but we need food and there lives the problem. Be it a thyroid problem, heredity, mental or whatever the reason, we must have food. Being obese will lead to so many other health problems including death and yet society still does not get it. I have gained and lost hundreds of pounds over my adult life and its pitiful. I was slapped with being pre-diabetic a year ago and have lost over 60 pounds. Its a bitter struggle every single day that I am awake and will be till the day I die. But, I really do not want to go like my mother and grandmother did. Leave Oprah alone, she has contributed more to the world than any of us will ever know. Support her, and wish her well, and knock off the bashing, you have not earned the right.

55. cmon now, many women take thyroid medication,my wife does, my 86 yr old aunt does . i do know the levels can be an issue to adjust but to blame the thyroid for personal control issues is ridiculous. I feel bad for her though as it has to be tough for anyone that heavy to move around.

56. Amazingly she hasn't been on the banana diet. If there is someone who should know about the banana diet and the benefits of bananas, it's Oprah. I'm sure she could extol the virtues of bananas. Nothing screams Banana Diet more than Oprah!

58. Oprah, Gail or somebody rolled the little dial back on your scale. At your height, there's no way you're 200 pounds... you're closer to 250 and everyone knows it. You can't be a little bit honest if you're being honest. Admit the real weight and then never talk about it again.. leave it with dignity. Della Reese was a fine woman and her weight was never an issue with anyone. Just let it be. You eat for comfort. It's a private thing.

60. She looks good at 200; she makes such a theatric of her weight. Calling herself names, Oprah I thought you were the one who says women should love themselves...blah, blah, blah what ever other BS you say. It's sad to see how people get brainwashed into believing you have to be a certain size to be beautiful. Shame on you because I know plenty of 200+ women who are beautiful.
