Bob May -- who played The Robot in "Lost in Space" -- died early this morning at the Lancaster Community Hospital in California.
A rep for Bob said he was taken to the hospital on Friday, and died at around 3 AM this morning of congestive heart failure.
Back in November, Bob had a stroke soon after a fire consumed his California home.
Patricia Arthur, May's long time friend and agent, "asks all his fans to take a moment of silence as one of Science Fiction's greatest has passed. Family and friends will miss him dearly."
Bob was 69.

Then why post? IDIOT!
Enjoy your Rest Friend, I enjoyed the show even when it got too goofy at the end. For those who never heard of him, alot of us thought the robot was real, I found out the truth back in 99 when the movie came out, guess it wasn't a big sell even though it left open the chance for a sequel.
SO A GUY INSIDE A FAKE ROBOT IS ONE OF "SCI FI GREATEST"? DAMN AS HIS AGENT PATRICIA WAS VERY LAME, WHAT KIND OF STATEMENT IS THAT?? HOW BOUT TALKING SOMETHING ABOUT HIS PERSONAL LIFE, CHARITY PERHAPS OR SOMETHING, BUT WORKING FROM INSIDE A FAKE ROBOT MAKE YOU GREATEST WHEN EVEN THE VOICE WAS NOT HIS, DAMN STUPID PEOPLE
Man, show some respect! This man ment something to people, fans,
friends and family. Why don't you practice what you parents. and/or
Grandparents taught you, "If you don't have anything nice to say,
don't say anything at all. You don't need to get on this page and
say, "Who?" or the REALLY stupid comments on here calling
his agent "lame" and continue on to make ridiculous statements, and
my three cents, pretending to be God, I mean, really? I just hope his
fans, friends and family are not put in any more pain by by reading
such childish ramblings by insensitive people. A man died today, show
some respect!
May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.
