I don't know why anyone expected BET to make a proper trubute to MJ. BET is a disgrace to black people in general. im a 20 year old black and i can tell you BET is doing more harm than good to black people. BET started off as a positive channel for blacks. it had informative programs and things. but now it's just a bunch of ghetto mess.

And Jamie Foxx is so arrogant. I mean the dude swore he had MJ's moves down pack. He just made himself look like a fool.

Joe Jackson is a creep. The BET awards were a joke. Totally unprofessional and nobody of any talent except Beyonce. Shameful.

When are the W.E.T. awards going to be held?
Why is it that African Americans need to have this racist segregation after finally non-racist white and non-racist African American people joined together and pulled down the walls of segregation between White and African Americans?

76. The BET channel needs to disappear...just like all white programming disappeared many years ago....BET is racist, plain and simple. Just like not having any people of color years ago was racist and wrong....When BET and other separatist groups phase out, there will be a lot more harmony for all.

Agreed! I look forward to that day. It's always the people who are constantly making references to their own and everyone else's skin color who are the most racist. It's best just to ignore them and not give attention, ratings or money to them. Hopefully they'll fade away or they'll just stay the same and be left with nothing but each others hatred to feed off of, while everyone else has moved on to a higher level of awareness and living.

I understand the timing of MJ's death was tragic in itself adding tributes in such a short time frame about the pop star was great and we will miss him, however, what was already headlined was a MESS!! This award show was the worse one I’ve seen yet! I'm sorry, but I have a problem with the song "I want to "F" every girl in the world". HOW DOES THIS SONG EVEN GET RADIO AIR PLAY...LET ALONE BE PERFORMED ON A SHOW OF THIS SUPOSSEDLY SAFISTICATED MAGNITUDE??

You got to be kidding me...I am not hattin - I support Lil' Wayne and the young brotha gettin their hustle on, but WOW!, there's a time and a place for everything, and this is not the type of venue for that type of song, period!! Compared to MJ, this is a perfect example of creativity or "lack there of" that makes this industry now in deep trouble!

If the extent of today's artist regarding creativity is that you want screw all the women in the world.... you got about 10 more minutes left on that 20 minute career. That's my two cents... to the person who said the whole BET BLACK AWARD HOW COULD YOU GET IT THING...and you wonder why racism is still rampant in this country? BET tribute for Michael Jackson was the worst ever!!!! The know it all Foxx thinks he is great. and soooo overrated.... but he was the worst of everything. BET should be completely embarrassed. Don't be all telling like MJ is one of you!! Where were you when he was accused?? Even though I completely dislike Chris Brown after his beating to Rhianna, he could DANCE. I am also awaiting proper tribute to The King of Pop. I am sure Grammy or American Music Awards will do wayyyyyy better job of a tribute then BET.

That was the sorryest excuse for a tribute for a man who changed the face of music, dance, video, etc. Michael Jackson was much better than what this show deemed a "tribute" it was a f&@king joke! Michaels father is a fame seeker even now. Cant imagine losing my child and having the enrgy and attitude to go to a glitzy award show. I think this really says-it-all doesnt it?
