Former NBAer Charged with Bad Pass

Former NBAer Charged with Bad PassAntoine Walker's nickname used to be Employee Number 8 -- now it's Employee Number minus 822,500.

Walker has been charged with three felonies for allegedly obtaining gambling markers by passing $1 million in bad checks to three Las Vegas casinos: Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and Red Rock Resort.

Walker has paid back some of the bad markers, but still owes $822,500.

Good luck shimmying out of this one, 'Toine.

1. He's a Chicago native who sounds like he needs to gamble as much as Michael Jordon but doesn't have the earnings of Jordon to cover the looses! Can't make money if your sitting in a jail cell. Game over.

6. Hey The Bachelor.
RE: Harvey Levin stole your idea for TMZ.
I don't think you have a case. Levin developed his idea into a comedy. You didn't.
There's the difference.

Signed.

8. It's the wiggle you stupid tabloid online.

Something is up with this all. The truth will come out. Antoine is known for giving away money to everyone who needs it and I wouldn't be surprised to find that he is covering someone elses debt under his name. He has done this before

10. Well put there by ironically the 8th commenter, clearly someone who has followed Antoine's career closely. I choose not to judge Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, or Bill Bennett for spending a lot of their free time at the casinos playing high stakes. I won't judge Antoine on this either. What hurts is that this is bad press and it further hurts his efforts to make a comeback for 2009-10. And it paints this negative portrayal of a guy which is unfair and untrue; as #8 mentioned, Antoine has a long history with generosity and helping others in need, even people overseas back in 2005 when he spearheaded a team pledge to help raise money for the victims of the tsunami in SE Asia. Also with his Eight Foundation and Walker's Wigglers charities, helping the disadvantaged and impoverished people of the Boston and Chicago communities. The man has done a lot of good and obviously that's not what gets reported. The authorities in Nevada could have handled this without it having to come to a public situation, clearly they are also trying to embarrass Antoine as they did with Barkley.
