The Grass Is Greener in New York

Joseph Simmons, Jr. -- son of rap legend Rev Run -- just pled guilty to one charge of disorderly conduct in New York after being busted last May for marijuana possession.

Joseph Simmons Jr.
As part of the plea, the 19-year-old's possession charge was dropped -- he'll only have to serve one day of community service. That's gotta hurt.

one more reason why i think the justice system isn't fair and it's CRAP!!! if he was any other average person, he'd have to go to jail for an insaine amount of time. one day of community service?!?!!?! i guess money can buy everything. sucks if you are average! but wonderful if daddy can get you out of trouble. rich kids piss me off. he's probably smoking his blunt, crying about it right now. dumbass.

That must be nice. My son got in trouble for dui and he had to pay fines, spend time in jail, do 40 hrs. community service, take AA classes and be on probation for a couple of years. Wish my son had his judge and got that treatment but money talks!!!!!

First of all, if everyone that tried marijuana was rounded up and tossed in jail, there would pretty much be no one left in society, give it a rest, he got caught, he never had any prior issues, this is fair, the only reason why it's even news, is because it's Rev Run's son, big deal. and by the way for all of the haters that feel that these children are spoiled, they are spoiled because their father worked hard for what he has and he can give his kids opportunities. At least they are not like nasty white trash Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan and all those other trashy kids, these kids are grounded and they are not living off of Daddy, they are doing their own thing. Get a life.

I agree with you 100% Kim...I couldn't have said it better myself. If anyone watched his show on MTV you will see that all his kids are very grounded and have to work for everything they are given.

Ok, so we want to compare JoJo's almost "Tiny" amount of weed to the Harry Potter star's 8 bags, get over it! IT was his first offense, He has never been in trouble and they are giving him a break. The rest of you probably have been in trouble before and are just pissed that you didn't get away with it! If you ever watch their show, you would have seen that Run did not let him off easy , he made JoJo face the music and face whatever came his way as far as punishment. Run doesn't "spoil" his kids anymore that you would if you had the money! He makes those kids work for extras and if they want to get into any business ventures he makes them put them together and pitch them to their uncle Russell themselves. Maybe more celebrity parents should take note and do the same.
