The 67-year-old resurfaced at some event, looking cheery.
In 1989, Jones was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives.
In 2005, he appeared in one episode of the canceled TV series "Surface" as "Grocery Clerk."

(Page 1 of 1)It was actually the United States Congress the guy was elected to not the Georgia State House
Dude, I loved that show back in the 1980s! Redneck, yeah, but awesome. Who didn't want to drive around in the General Lee?
Here in Holland they are repeting this serie, so I just watched Cooter a couple of minuts ago hihihi.
Nice to see he is looking good these days
Pascale from Holland
The best MO-CANN-IC HAZARD COUNTY EVER SEEN, THATS RIGHT BUBBA
Ben looks SUPER . just as he did when we worked together on "Dukes of Hazzard" .. what a FUN show to have worked on .. Ben was one of a kind :)
Still looks good -- has his hair and not too big a gut -- too bad he feels he has to wear the goofy southern redneck clothing! What's the deal with the black t-shirt, linen jacket and straw hat?
NO WE DON'T REMEMBER THESE OLD ALMOST DEAD PEOPLE! QUIT ASKING!
TMZ, you're a news organization. Correct the post. He served two terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1989-1993.
JONES LOOKS GREAT. AGED VERY WELL WITH OUT ALL THAT PLASTIC SURGERY. JUST ASK BURT REYNOLDS OR KENNY ROGERS WHO RUINED THEIR SEX APPEAL. THEY ARE DISGUSTING LOOKING TODAY...........
I met him. He is so nice and a genuine guy (He is awesome w/ kids) polite.
He said he was the richest guy in Hazzard County. He was the only garage and couldn't keep up with
all the rig repairs and could charge what he wanted. LOL.
now, that's a good ole tabor city boy if i ever saw! it's funny to think he came from these parts... had to have been ironic for him, too, to leaving these 'redneck, backwoods' to play a role not so far from home... but you can best bet the pay was better! you go mr. jones!!
