Travolta Still Tight With Scientology

John Travolta John Travolta has not broken from Scientology, contrary to recent reports ... this according to sources connected to John.

Travolta testified in the Bahamian extortion case that his late son, Jett, was autistic. Until his testimony, Travolta never publicly acknowledged Jett's illness.

Travolta's silence on autism in years past was consistent with Scientology's unofficial position on the subject.

We're told some Scientology bigwigs are unhappy with John's recognition of Jett's condition, but Travolta remains "firmly committed" to the Church. In fact, we're told, he has used Scientology as "therapy" in trying to cope with Jett's death.

John, we're told, has never had his faith in Scientology shaken in the months following his son's death.

Maybe he should question a faith that doesn't acknowledge the truth.

5. Autism isn't an illness. It's a part of people, like skin color, or peronality.

7. His faith wasn't shaken, but that crazy "church" surely shook Travolta down for his therapy payments.

8. For years The cult of scientology tried to get tax-free status from the IRS, claiming it is a church.
The IRS repeatedly denied them.
So certain cult bigwigs showed up at the IRS headquarters and took the directors aside and had a chat with them.
Not long afterwards, the IRS awarded the cult of scientology tax-free status.

The Cult of Scientology has too much on John Travolta.
The Cult is into everything! The charities you contributed to might be a front for the cult.

9. It would seem to me that Scientology is nothing but a farce, a joke. If a person is made to lie about a medical condition that is as real as autism, then its teachings are that one must lie in order to belong to the religion.

Where is the value of a religion if your lying in order to be a member ? Sorry but this is no religion, this is a cult.

10. "..some Scientoloy bigwigs are unhappy with John's recognition of Jett's illness."

HEY JOHN, TELL THE BIGWIGS TO GO "SIT & SPIN"!!! ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE BURIED ANY OF THEIR OWN CHILDREN RECENTLY??????

I know a lot of people on here disapprove of Scientology. However, we should be more DISAPPROVING if our government were to tell us what religion we could & could not practice. I don't particularly "understand" Scientology but I believe in 'freedom of religion' more than I disapprove of any one particular religion, I guess! It was a long, hard battle fought so that we could enjoy these freedoms. If we start "interfering" in the religion of Scientoloy & telling those that practice it that it is wrong, then we make our own faith vulnerable to the same attacks. Live & Let Live, I say!

13. The fact remains the he believes he's an upper level "OT" (whatever that means) and he can control the universe with his mind.

Except that he can't. And his son's death proves that.

Scientologists have insane beliefs and they have to constantly rationalize reality to fit their beliefs. This is one reality he can't rationalize. Hopefully it will pull him out of the cult, but don't count on it. They'll help him (probably that midget Miscavige himself) make endless excuses as to why his son died. Most likely radical Thetans that overpowered his son or some BS like that.

Sad.

14. @10: It's not a religion, it's a corporation. An actual religion wouldn't charge over $100,000 to learn about the true tenants of their belief. This is what happens to Scientologists as they try to reach what's called the OTIII level. That's the level they learn about the overload Xenu and his ancient genocide that released alien Thetan spirits into human beings. Read that again, that's not a joke.

Granted, this stuff isn't anymore wacky than, say, Mormonism, but at least in Mormonism you can read about their beliefs for free and you're not obligated to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to experience your own "faith."

Scientology is a con. Even for people that get something positive from it, the whole business of Scientology is set-up to make as much money from their congregation as possible.

I should know, my roommates are all scientologists. They have a far far different experience than the coddled celebrities that are supported by the cult.
