Murray's Visit to Osteen Church Not for PR

5/10/2010 2:29 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Joel Osteen's right-hand man tells TMZ Dr. Conrad Murray was indeed invited to come to Osteen's church yesterday "to pray and worship," and met with Osteen privately before the service.

Dr. Conrad Murray
TMZ first reported Osteen invited Murray to the service.  Someone from Osteen's media relations department told us it was a PR stunt, but the guy who runs the PR department says that's not true.

Donald Iloff, Jr., the Chief of Strategic Operations for Osteen (and Osteen's brother-in-law), tells TMZ, "Dr. Murray did call the church to speak with Osteen a while back but Osteen was not available.  Osteen's rep then invited Dr. Murray to yesterday's service."  So, Dr. Murray truly was invited.
Iloff says Murray met privately with Joel and Victoria before the service.  We do not know what they talked about.

After the meeting, Iloff says Dr. Murray attended the service.  "He was really engaged in the worship service," Iloff says.

MR: And there's Michael Jackson's. You got to work with him and The Jacksons for a while.

LH: Yeah, another powerful artist, what a creative mind, Michael. And his brothers. That was a fun experience.

MR: You oversaw their hits like "Enjoy Yourself."

LH: Yeah, and "Let Me Show You The Way To Go." That was one of my favorite ones too. I just loved Michael's voice. Michael had a "voice" since he was nine years old. When I first heard Michael sing "I Saw Ma Kissing Santa Claus," a boy singing like that? Come on! I go back with Michael 'cause I watched him grow. He happened just to come to our path, and ended up with my dear friend Quincy Jones.

KG: It was a great privilege for us and very exciting working with The Jacksons. I think we learned just as much from them as they did from us. And I think Michael is more alive today than ever before. He left such a great impression on the world

Nice day to all

i dont think it is paranoid at all to think people are plotting your downfall when there is so much money at stake.not at all
the evidence in mj trial was manufactured for sure. case never would have been brought against anyone else.i often wondered who was on sneddon political contribution was in a whole lot of people best interest to bring michael jackson down.whether it was plotted consciencly or subconsciously i dont know.but as tom mesereau said during his closing argument if mj was convicted there would be alot of celebrating going on.thank God for an independent minded jury..they certainly were under intense pressure to come back with a conviction.
the fact that the dragged mj through the mud and came back fourteen times with not guilty speaks to the character of the man ,i wouldnt want someone reviewing a decade of my life,no way LOL

Where were all the weeping fans, the artists who hail him as their hero, the radio DJs who can't stop playing his music? Where were they 10 years ago? Oh right. Everyone thought Michael Jackson was a freak -- a plastic surgery addicted child molester. His last studio album "Invincible," released 2001, failed to garner a true hit single because radio stations refused to play the songs. Music critics tore him to shreds. He was blackballed. People made fun of him, he was considered a washed-up, has-been, crazy person.
The success of "Thriller," which has sold over 110 million copies worldwide and counting, can never be matched. ("Invincible," for the record managed to sell a respectable 13 million copies worldwide to date. No artist can keep up that kind of string of hits. He put his heart and soul into every new recording he did, but judgment had already been cast before anyone heard the music.
He was a desperate man in pain and everyone threw stones at him. Now it's fashionable to be a Michael Jackson fan. Radio stations now play his music on heavy rotation. His albums are flying off the shelves. Urban Outfitters even carries a commemorative vinyl collection that hipsters can frame and put on their walls. Suddenly the entire world has rediscovered Michael Jackson. He's dead damn it. Imagine what this kind of love would have done for him while he was living? Maybe then he wouldn't need drugs to sleep.
Michael's body was still warm when celebrities, music execs, family members and even his personal staffed whored themselves to TV news programs professing to be Michaels' best friends. People who didn't even know him were releasing statements. Where were these so-called best friends when Michael needed an intervention? Needed help? Nowhere. Yes, some tried, and Michael would not listen -- so keep trying!
Things had gotten so strange in Michael's world, that before he signed with AEG to do a string of concerts, one management company was trying to convince him to be 'virtual Michael.' No joke -- they were going to set up a 3D Internet portal so Michael could interact with the world without leaving his house. That's enough to make anyone feel nuts.
The AEG deal gave him new life. It brought him back to what he does best -- perform, be in front of fans, be around humans. Only the inner sanctum at AEG believed in him. The public and the pundits were waiting for him to fail. Many fans who bought tickets to the sold out concerts just wanted to go to see a historic spectacle, hoping they would witness a car crash.
We killed Michael Jackson. We helped create his gilded cage and then we rejected him. Death serves you well Michael, the world is finally acknowledging the amazing force of nature you were. You changed the face of music. Rest in peace.

Kobe, star of the reigning NBA champs The Los Angeles Lakers, remembered the musician as a “genuinely nice person” who offered to open his famous Neverland Ranch for the athlete’s wedding to wife Vanessa Bryant.

“One of the things he always told me was don’t be afraid to be different. He’s saying: ‘It’s OK to be that driven, it’s OK to be obsessed with what you want to do. That’s perfectly fine.’”

He added, “I remember my fiancee and I telling him we were getting married, and him just being really excited, and actually just offering up the ranch to have our wedding there, because privacy was going to be an issue….We wanted to get married in a church, so that’s what we wound up doing. But he made the offer.”

JC Chasez, who performed with Michael as a boy bander in *NSYNC, wrote: “He was doing vocal drills for an hour before he went out. It’s not something that magically appeared on him, the guy worked hard for it. 40 years old, and the guy is warming up for an hour before every show. He wanted to give that audience the best he had.”
John Mayer: “As a musician, the man was one of the purest substances ever in music,” he wrote. “But it’s frustrating, and somewhat pointless, to ever try and figure out how Michael Jackson arrived at an album like ‘Thriller’ and how you could arrive at something like it. It’s impossible. I mean it’s one of those things you actually don’t want to bring up to musicians because they don’t want to remember that that kind of greatness is achievable, because it skews the entire bell curve completely.”

yeah, you are right about attracting the bad when there's money. But i really wonder who those pple are, who went on to sit down with Barak, and gave the tapes? Not only that, but i really wonder also WHY they did that? It shows that a lot who were in his life actually did not like him, and they faked it. But like i've said before, i hope one day they'll see that what they did was wrong, because they are only fuelling the bizzare image stories.....and you call somebody like that a friend? NO, not at all!

“Michael Jackson was extraordinary. When we worked together on ‘Bad,’ I was in awe of his absolute mastery of movement on the one hand, and of the music on the other. Every step he took was absolutely precise and fluid at the same time. It was like watching quicksilver in motion. He was wonderful to work with, an absolute professional at all times, and – it really goes without saying – a true artist. It will be a while before I can get used to the idea that he’s no longer with us.”
Martin Scorsese - filmmaker who directed the video for “Bad”

myself..i think this lady daphne had an interview with nanny grace right after mj died...from what i undersatnd grace was trying to stop her from publishing the interview.
i dont know ..its like how many people were trying to take advantage of mj in one way or another...get in line
for some people i think mj was like a shooting star passing through their life and they only got one shot casue it wasnt going to come again so they took what they could at any cost.
and for others they attached themselves like a tick feeding off him, for years..very very sad.and those are people that i think he considered friends not business people.
his fame was toxic.when you reach the pinnacle everyone around you is jealous.
have a good day

There are some new leaked videos on YouTube of Paris, Blanket and Donte.
Who is leaking them??? The kids themselves? Paris and Donte are old enough to do that. I don´t know...

Paris speaks to the camera and says: "Monkey, please help." And there is another video, where she (supposedly Paris - it is hard to tell on that one if it is her) is lip-synching and dancing to a rap thing, "Annie R U Ok".

Blanket is very outspoken. He speaks a LOT! Cute, very, very cute and quite the leading actor - they are reenacting something from Star Wars. Donte doesn´t get too much time in the spotlight Blanket makes sure of that!!!! But Donte is a cute boy too.

But it really shouldn´t be out there, I think.

Any thoughts about how this keeps happening???

W£ho is Osteen when he's at home? Never heard of him. He one of those tv evangelists? He looks like one of them.
No point Murray going to Osteen, he needs to pray direct to God. He wont be able to side track cause he's already noted in the big book.
