Thanks for choosing me America! I am now 2 1/2 and my belly button is all better and I did not need surgery! I now just have a little 'outie'. Mom and Dad are treating me to a shopping spree. They say it's the least I deserve after being stuck with such a bump for at least a year! I have my eyes set on a Barbie motorized truck.
Cheers!! Love, The baby with a bump

WHY DOES TMZ THINK THIS IS FUNNY ? YOU ********S. SOMEONE NEEDS TO CALL THE POLICE OR CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES. NOT ONLY DOES THAT POOR LITTLE BABY NEED A DOCTOR TO CORRECT THAT HORRENDOUS AND VERY SAD PROBLEM WITH HIS BELLY BUTTON, BUT HE IS UNDERWEIGHT. HE'S NOT BEING FED PROPERLY, AND HE'S BEING USED AS THE BUTT OF JOKES. I HOPE HIS PARENTS DIE OR GET ARRESTED---------SOMEONE CALL THE COPS OK ? I WILL CONTACT CHILD SERVICES, AND I'LL TELL THEM TO ASK TMZ WHERE THE PARENTS LIVE-----AND ****-YOU TMZ. INSTEAD OF SHOWING CONCERN FOR THIS HELPLESS BABY, YOU THINK ITS A JOKE. **** YOU

WHATEVER: You're an idiot. The child has a simple hernia that a doctor would not even consider operating on until he/she was at least 15 months to 2 years old.Usually they go away on there own by the time they are that age. I had one when I was a baby (mine need to be operated on) and both of my girls had one. They both disappeared on their own and now they have cute little "outies" I'm sure the parents doctor seen it, checked to make sure it wasnt "hard" and went on there way.Its stupid people like you that take up so much of DCFS time calling in for stupid, irrational stuff that they dont have the funds/manpower/or time to help the children who really need it

SIMPLE hernia? Are you stoooopid? There is nothing simple about that and it can & SHOULD be corrected asap. Quit watching all the doctor shows because there're making you think you're a doctor.

Yes my little one had a herniated belly button as well and she is very healthy - My husband is a pediatrician and our little ones went away all on it's own - I agree with Kari DCF is way to busy to check up on healthy children and to Whatever - You are the idiot that baby is clearly only a month or so old and that is how big babies are have you ever even seen a newborn??
UGH people are so stupid

I dont watch Dr shows (those would be on during hours that pple WORK) I'm saying that thats what it is because I'VE SEEN IT WITH EACH OF MY OWN DAUGHTERS! Trust me, when the umbilical cord fell off my 1st one and her stomach started popping out like that I took her to the dr. Then a second one when the 1st one said not to operate and then a third specialist for another opinion. They all told me it would go away and to give it time and it did. This is EXACTLY what her's looked like. It looks horrible, (we didnt do to many bath/swimming pics b/c of it) but as long as it was soft tissue its fine

WHATEVER and LongJohn69 - You're BOTH idiots. The child has a herniated belly button. It's not that uncommon! Plus that child is NOT underweight. Do a google on herniated belly button ASAP you morons.

I can't believe you LongJohn, whatever and lynda! That is first of all soooo insensitive! Also, how can you sit there and make all of those accusations against not only the child, but the family as well! Shame Shame!

I also think that is one homely kid. Skinny babies are ugly to me.

Belly button winner.
I'm glad your're okay. It looks to me like you had an umbilical hernia as a baby.

No matter the seriousness of the herniated navel, the blatant exploitation of an infant is what I find repulsive. If the parents think this is funny, I'll bet they would find broken bones hysterical. And TMZ, you should only allow submission of photos by individuals, who are 18 or over. No one should be able to exploit underage kids for their own financial gain.

Yep, it's an umbilical hernia, they usually clear up on their own within a year. They are very common in premature babies which may be why this little one looks a bit small (or it could just be the angle). It's nothing to be freaked out about - insensitive commenters. Congrats to baby and family!
