I absolutely love Don Cornelius for his vision, motivation, and stamina. Is there any other series that ran as long as Soul Train? Everyone should watch episode #1 from 1971, it's amazing and fun! The dancers dancing to James Brown "Make It Funky" is awesome. What happened to Jan Robinson from that episode? She's only 16 there but she dances like a professional dancer in her 20's.

I'am proud to say that I have lived in a time (far back from the early 1970's til 1978 of my High School Graduation) when SOUL TRAIN
ruled the hippest and funkiest dance world, it was the best form of
entertainment on TV, watching it every Saturday mornings while liv-
ing in Honolulu, Hawaii.

I and my cousins would watch and practice the dance moves and use it
on the dance floor during our High School dances, til this day, I
still have fond memories of my High School days and Soul Train. Even
other movies and shows like: "TGIF", "GREASE", "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER", and "AMERICAN BANDSTAND" would trigger nostalgia of long
ago. SOUL TRAIN has always been a big part of my teenage life, and
shall always be. Thank You "SOUL TRAIN", for being a part in my life.
