People vs. Dr. Conrad Murray

Cardiologist Testifies:

Dr. Murray Messed Up Big Time

Cardiologist -- Dr. Alon Steinberg Testifies
Updated 10/12/11 at 08:45 AM

1012_cardiologist Dr. Alon Steinberg -- one of the leading cardiologists for the California Medical Board -- just told the jury ... Dr. Conrad Murray demonstrated an "extreme deviation" from standard practices in his care for Michael Jackson.

* Dr. Steinberg made it clear he is a cardiologist... not an anesthesiologist.
* Steinberg testified he reviewed Murray's case relying solely on transcripts from his police interview because he wanted "to judge Dr. Murray on his very own words."
* He found 6 separate and distinct deviations of standard of care – each one amounting to "gross negligence."
* Steinberg said Propofol should only be used for procedures in a hospital and should never be used for sleep.
* According to Steinberg, Murray lacked basic equipment to keep the singer alive in case of emergency.
* Murray should have had an assistant at all times.
* Murray should have called 911 immediately.

* Steinberg said after calling 911, Murray should have given bagged him with an ambu bag, then administered Flumazenil ... Instead, Murray went for chest compressions,  which MJ wouldn't have needed if he was still breathing.
* When Murray did finally call for help, he phoned MJ's assistant ... which caused further delay.
* Steinberg told the jury that "for every minute of delay there's less and less chance the patient will survive."
* Steinberg called Murray's behavior "bizarre."
* Murray did not take notes. This is important, not only for insurance and legal purposes, but also to make sure everything is documented so that no mistakes are made.
* Steinberg said Murray's breeches in care "directly contributed to the untimely death of Michael Jackson."
* Steinberg condemned Murray for leaving the singer alone unsupervised, saying "it's like leaving a baby that's sleeping on your kitchen countertop,"
* He said, according to the transcripts, Murray gave MJ a drip of Propofol the night he died ... in ADDITION to the 25 mg. he gave him initially.
(during cross-examination, Murray's lawyer argued Murray never mentioned when describing the night of June 25th. After an long back-and-forth, Steinberg shrugged, "Can we agree to disagree?")
* Murray's lawyers asked Steinberg if it was possible Murray left the room for more than two minutes ... suggesting the doc may have had his timetable confused.
* Dr. Steinberg made it clear ... MJ would be alive today if Murray had simply called 911 right away.

I LOVED when Steinberg pointed out the fact that Murray indeed had Michael Jackson on a drip - reading VERBATIM the doctor's own testimony. The defense lawyer proceeded to make his client look worse by trying to trip up Steinberg...who was an outstanding witness for the prosecution.

This Doc on the witness stand is one competent Doctor!!! He says it as it is and take no **** for an excuse for any action of murray, whatsoever. In court since the start, I have noticed murray checking his watch all the time!!! He did not do that when he was treating MJ on 25th!!! Now that his ass is on the line, he has got a watch on him in case is time for him to go and peeee on himself!

BUFFOONS,
THAT'S WHAT THE DEFENSE LAWYERS ARE. AFTER BEING TOTALLY UNPREPARED & SHOWING THEIR LACK OF BEING A TRIAL LAWYER, I'M SURE THESE IDIOTS WILL NOT BE HIRED BY ANYONE SOON.

Not-A-Fan

Conrad Murray was NOT a cardiac surgeon—in other words, he did not crack open chests and do bypasses. A cardiologist does non-surgical treatment, and some do cardiac catheterizations. Murray was not board-certified as I understand, and any doctor can claim any sub-speciality as a speciality and not be board-certified. It's like a GP performing face lifts—legally he/she can do it, but perhaps ethically he/she should not.

Murray is devoid of any ethics. He had no business acting as a physician for the Jackson children (hello, that's what pediatricians are for!) nor did he have any business "treating" MJ for sleep disorders, vittiligo, or anything else he may have been "treating."

Murray's attorneys should just shut the hell up. Their client is toast. Have him pack a bag and report to Chino for intake into the California Department of Corrections. He will do fine in the general population. Maybe he can teach CPR to his fellow inmates?

Sincerity

Dr. Steinberg's professional assessment isn't surprising because ALL PARTIES including Michael Jackson knew that he should not have been given Propofol as a "sleep aid" to begin with. Considering that it was being administered for the wrong reason in a "non clinical" setting, something was bound to go "WRONG". Dr. Murray's negligence in this instance is glaring obvious. He was doing something that was medically "unethical" and didn't prepare for a "worst" case scenario. He should be held accountable.

That's Right

It does not matter who the patient is, Murray did not follow the correct medical care and must be held accountable for his actions, if the patient was anyone else most of us would be outraged that a Doctor was so careless to cause a death, but since it was MJ people don’t care. Please remove the hate towards MJ from your hearts for a moment and realize this Doctor malpractice killed his patient. What if it was one of our family members? Sadly there are hundreds of Murrays working in hospitals and the death they cause is not made public. Those of you who feel Murray should go free; would you go to him if you needed medical care? I’m removing my blinders and seeing it for what it is, “A LIFE” and I don’t care if it was MJ or a homeless person Murray took a life! Don’t free him so he could take another!

DOCTORS ARE SUPPOSE SAVE LIVES NOT TAKE THEM!

Since there may be a history of drug abuse a Doctor must take the patient medical history into account. That alone should get Murray locked up! A Doctor do not inject drugs into an addict unless you're also a drug dealer or money hungry and Murray only cared about the money. “GREED IS THE ROOT TO EVIL” Obviously this so called Doctor do not know how to handle an emergency situation, the average person knows to call 911 immediately. Murray did not think or care about his career, so he took a job he could not handle. He continued to administer drugs into his patient’s body. WTF… You are a doctor what did you think would happen? An underweight, drug addict, dehydrated body, really Murray! What trained professional doctor would inject a fragile frame with such a strong combination of drugs?

hhhhmmmmm.
You DON'T perform CPR on someone who's breathing. Murray's objective was to convince everyone that Michael was still alive even though murray said he noticed michael was not breathing. So while murray is on the phone, running up and down the stairs like a damn fool, yelling for kids, calling his girlfriend, calling security....exactly when did murray begin to perform his one handed version of CPR???? That's right, when security entered the room and two traumatized kids were watching.
The EMTs wanted to pronounce michael dead at holmby hills. Murray demanded that Michael be taken to the hospital.
Why, you ask?????

(To further delude the actual time of Michael's death that's why.)

Thus, Michael was pronounced dead at the hospital.

He was suplied Propofol before Murray by other Doctors and after Murray is found GUILTY...SO SHOULD ALL the other Doctors who supplied him with Propofol. Number one, not only is it not within the scope of practice, any medical doctor and pharmacist knows you do NOT give a drug like Propofol for insomnia!!!!!
____________________________________________________________
Who are these other doctors who supplied MJ with propofol? Names and dates. Make up some if you have too?

Before michael's death, propofol was not a controlled substance. no one needed a doctor to get it. propofol was available on ebay before michael died. No DEA number was required to purchase it....this was murray's drug/weapon of choice. there's no proof Michael was still suffering from insomnia, no proof michael begged for drugs, no proof michael was addicted, no proof murray arrived at holmby hills before 1:30am, no proof michael called murray or nurse lee (at anytime in his life), or anyone at all the last 24 hours of his life about anything, and no phone records have been released......at least not Michael's phone records.

now: rethink and............what was that you were saying?
