Michael Lohan in Court:

Lots of Crying and Yelling

10/29/2011 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

michael lohan denied bond
Michael Lohan was true to form when he appeared in court today, making crazy excuses that an angry judge didn't buy ... so Michael's gonna stay in jail for a while.

Michael -- who allegedly violated a restraining order and then tried to escape cops and falling four stories -- spoke to the judge from the jail on a monitor. Michael, who was in a wheelchair and handcuffs (see above), had his lawyer explain there are three reasons why Mr. Lohan needed his freedom:

1.  He's got some TV shoot with Dr. Drew
2.  Lindsay's hearing is coming up on Wednesday
3.  He's got an upcoming celebrity boxing match with Tareq Salahi.

Surprise -- the judge wasn't moved, but was VERY upset at M.L.

Kate Major testified against Michael (see the video), crying as she told the judge about Michael's incessant calling.

Michael is being held without bail.

Kate Major is an idiot and a drama queen. Did you see her on celebrity rehab? She can turn those tears on at a moments notice. Michael Lohan (and the rest of the Lohan clan) are sick and disgusting.

He must have asked Lindsey for some of that cash she made, she said no, and now is becoming totally unhinged.
It's a slippery slope now.

A celebrity boxing match with Tareq Salahi? What on earth is considered a celebrity this days????

Love that Judge. Michael Lohan and Kate Major both obviously have mental and addiction problems and they should both be thrown in jail with court-mandated, in-patient treatment. Their lives are a circus! They should both be ordered to pay all the costs that the government incurs with dealing with them. Ridiculous.

There's a problem here

WTF is the defense guy saying these allegations against Michael Lohan are untrue? So a doppleganger showed up at that *****s house that just looked like him but it wasn't him? The judge took no prisoners. I wish someone who wasn't star-struck would toss his daughter and his ex-wife in a cage for a long, long time.

A celebrity, also referred to as a celeb in popular culture, is a person who has a prominent profile in the media implied with stardom, great popular appeal, widely known, prominent or successful in some field, and is easily recognized by the general public. Celebrities may also be referred to as "superstars" that primarily include individuals who work as film and television actors and actresses, athletes, musicians, television personalities and other media-based professions, particularly within the spheres of the sports and entertainment.
Today's celebrities are basically prominent media figures, especially within the realms of sports, entertainment, and to a lesser extent, politics and business. Some various careers are associated with celebrity status, particularly within the fields of sports and entertainment that produce prominent athletes such as golfer Tiger Woods, hockey player Wayne Gretzky, or basketball player Michael Jordan or major mass media entertainment figures such as the model Gisele Bundchen, author J.K. Rowling, pop singers Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, political pundits Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck, talk show hosts Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey, actresses Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie, television actors Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher, or comedians Ellen Degeneres, Jay Leno and George Lopez.[1][2]
While people may gain celebrity status as a result of a successful career in a particular field, in other cases, people become celebrities due to media attention for their extravagant lifestyle or wealth (as in the case of a socialite) such as Pari******on or Kim Kardashian; for their connection to a famous person (as in the case of a relative of a famous person, such as Chaz Bono); or even for their misdeeds (as in the case of a well-known criminal such as Ronnie Biggs). Celebrities may be known around the world (e.g., pop star Michael Jackson), within a specific country (e.g., a top Australian rugby player); or within a region (e.g., a local TV news anchor).
