Jay-Z

Occupy T-Shirts Disappear

Amid Criticism

11/12/2011 11:32 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Jay-Z Occupy Wall street T-Shirts
Jay-Z and Rocawear have removed their Occupy Wall St. themed t-shirts from Rocawear.com -- after the rap mogul came under heavy fire for profiting off the protests, without donating anything to the cause.

Jay-Z was photographed wearing the "Occupy All Streets" shirts earlier this week and began selling them on his website. Checking the site today ... the shirts are now gone.

Before the t-shirts were pulled ... TMZ spoke with Grim, one of the leaders of the Occupy movement, who told us, "Jay-Z, as talented as he is, has the political sensibility of a hood rat and is a scrotum. To attempt to profit off of the first important social movement of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet."

We've been calling Jay-Z's camp for the past two days ... no word back.

As of Monday afternoon, the shirts have re-appeared on Rocawear.com, but they are on back order. Still no word back from Jay-Z's camp.

I bet Jay-Z is in the 1%. But having said that, I don't know why anybody listens to anything this pointless group has to say.

Ok what does this guy really do with his money he makes? He tried to hang with Gates, Jobs, Forbes but one thing these guy do is give back...what does JZ give back? ok he gave some chicken to the kids in that hood. But he spends so much time RIPPING OFF MUSIC hooks from the old school then trying to call them his own. I would say JZ take some of that money and buy a speaking coach! You are considered an OLD rip off artist out for yourself now take that to the bank and ca*****..

Oh come come now. Don't you know he and wife Beyond-talent are expecting child? They have to pad their revenue to ensure proper spoiling of the child.

"To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years"

LMAO! This is far from an important movement. It is nothing more than a bunch of 20 year olds too lazy to earn their own money and want someone else to give it to them.

Notice how their only problem with this entire t-shirt thing was the profits weren't shared with them. What a bunch of losers.

Whats the difference between a bum and an occupier? A bum begs on the streets and looks for a handout. An occupier went to college, begs on the streets and looks for a handout.

"First important social moment of 50 years." Seriously? A bit overwhelmed with our own importance, are we.
