Actually it doesn't mean anything. Most companies who does business on a home, whether it be the plumber or the roofer or whatever, the first thing they do is put a lien on the property to make sure they get their money. The check could have been sent the first billing period after the work was done.

Is this an adverising forum? Every story has all solicitation comments. Anyway, as far as this story, In Florida, they can't take away your house for a debt unless it is a foreclosure and this is his homesteaded house. Sure, the lien will stick around, but they will only get paid once he sells. That is if this story is legitimate in the first place.

On one side we have a celebrity worth in excess of $25 million dollars that is one of the top 3 in giving time to charities. One the other side is some fly by night s*** roofing company. I'm siding with the good guy. I hope he files a lawsuit against them for defamation of character.

Cheap ass trash!!! It amazes me how these nothings get a few dollars or A LOT and the first thing they do is go on a consciousness consumption spree then when the bills start rolling in they start screwing the little guy... roofers are the "type" of folks who watch that nonsense... why would he screw them over? Let's sit back and watch him pull one of his goody-two-shoes white boy routines to salvage himself...
